(Reader POV)

Sabrina said that it was time I tell Harvey about me, that I was a witch. I was nervous at first, but now I’m confident. I have trusted Sabrina ever since her parents adopted me when I was a baby. She always took care of me even after her...our, parents death. Sabrina has never given me bad advice, even though our aunts disagreed about my decision to tell Harvey I still did what Sabrina said. That’s why I’m here now.I stand in the middle of the woods with Harvey, my boyfriend of 10 long months, neither of us uttering a single word.

“Listen.

I love that sound.

The wind blowing through tree branches.

I think....

That’s my favorite sound in the world.”

“What did you want to show me?” Harvey walks closer to me as he finishes his question. I look deep into his eyes, preparing myself to tell him.

“This is where I will be reborn Friday night at the stroke of midnight. Under an eclipsing blood moon”He looks around our surroundings, his eyes darting from tree to tree observing quietly. He looks back at me, he lightly scrunches his brows and bites the inside of his lip out of confusion. “I don’t understand. Reborn how? “ he says shaking his head side to side

“The ceremony’s called a dark baptism, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. I’m just leaving my boyhood behind” I grab both of his hands and intertwine our fingers. I look back at him and he’s still confused, he’s so cute when he looks like that. He chuckles and looks away from me covering his mouth with one of his hands to hide it, when he’s done he places his hands back in mine again. I continue to explain so he’s not lost.

“Harvey do you remember at the beginning of the school year, what Miss Wardwell told us about Ye Old Greendale? How there were witch trials like in Salem but no one ever talked about them? There are no gravestones, no monuments” He nods his head remembering her lessons and lectures. “The witches didn’t want anyone to know. So that the coven can keep living in Greendale, privately, undisturbed, through the centuries. So that we could.”

He removes both of his hands from mine, displaying a face of confusion and disbelief. He starts laughing at me, and it kinda hurts. A lot actually.

“What are you saying? That you’re

a warlock?“

“Witch, actually. I prefer the term witch. I’m trying to tell you that witches are real, Harvey. Sabrina’s a witch, my aunts are witches, and so is Ambrose too.” He body freezes from sock and he removes his hands from mine, only to leave my hands to be embraced by the cold breeze blowing through the woods. I look down at the ground and I feel my eyes burn and my vision gets blurry.

“Wait are you-are you sayin this because you don’t wanna be with me? Because I said I love you”

I look back up at him, he’s starting to cry too. Why did I go through with this? Why did I believe Sabrina? The aunties were right, I should have kept my mouth shut. He starts walking away so I hurry to catch up to him. I can’t stop my tears anymore, they start falling and it feels hard to breath.

“Harvey please, I know it’s a lot to take in-“ I desperately grab his arms and his backpack to stop him, but he keeps going “Yes (y/n), it is a lot to take in. I’m just now finding out my boyfriend it a witch. That’s a lot.” He says angrily. He suddenly stops and quickly turns around. His face softens as he sees how much of a crying mess I am. My eyes are blood shot red and puffy, hiccuping, snot running down my nose, whimpering.

“P-Please-“ I softly grab the opening of his jacket. “ P-Please *hiccup* don’t leave me. I-i need you Harvey”

Harvey wraps one arm around my waist and puts his free hand on the back of my head, pulling me into his chest protectively. I put my hands on his chest, grabbing his shirt tightly wetting it with my tears. “Baby I’m sorry-“ He says softly.

“I shouldn’t have acted that way.

Whatever it takes,

I will be by your side.

I love you (Y/N).
