6. Favorite character design and why?
sardonyx’s design is just so so so so good. she’s got a great color scheme, a really cool outfit and weapon, and her ARM SWIVELS. even tho she’s a pearl and garnet fusion, she also has some peridot design elements (the hair and visor) that work really well

that will be all is, i think, the closest the show ever came to having a villain episode (that is, an episode all about the antagonists) and it’s a lot of fun to watch. the crystal gems get up close and personal with the awful homeworld cast society, and pearl punches an embodiment of it in the face! it’s the most the show ever showed the forces of homeworld getting beaten without a hitch, in that the crystal gems walk out happy and with their goal achieved with zero downsides, and we get what’s the use of feeling blue, THE only villain song in su until other friends dropped, along the way.
