what’s asoiaf au???

I’M GLAD YOU ASKED!!

It is a mind-blowing, soul-crushing, otp-destroying Game of Thrones/Haikyuu AU, written as a collaboration between glorypaid and madkyouken. Seriously, there is so much angst and drama and lust and sex. I read it even though I know absolutely nothing about asoiaf, and I have been crying ever since.

It’s on AO3 as The Two Crowns (there’s also a link on my fic recs page, which I finally added today after putting it off forever). It’s the story of Prince Tobio, who is named the rightful heir to the throne over Oikawa, despite being a bastard, and so he is banished from the land and sent off instead to live with Prince Daichi in his kingdom, where he rallies support and plots to overthrow Oikawa from the throne to take it back.

And that’s just a really simple summary, because the plot is so intricate and so well thought-out and planned. Virtually every character in the series is in it, everyone is given the spotlight at one point or another, and literally everyone is paired with everyone (like, I didn’t even know I could ship some things until I read this AU). I am so obsessed with it, it’s not even funny.
