Like it’s general knowledge that Orzammar and the Deep Roads is the longest fucking quest line in the entire game - you can kill the Archdemon quicker than you can find your way through the Deep Roads or win The Proving - not helped by the fact you keep having to go back and forth from the surface to complete everything, and you try and make the right, helpful decisions (eg letting matey have his Chantry and choosing the right King and what to do with the Anvil of the Void), and no matter what, the epilogue is basically like:

“DESPITE THE WARDEN’S EFFORTS, THE WHOLE FUCKING PLACE RIOTED AND KILLED EACH OTHER ANYWAY. OH WELL, THAT’S WHAT DWARVES ARE LIKE”

Endrin of House Aeducan traces his ancestry back to the Paragon Aeducan, the greatest warrior of Orzammar's history, who beat back the darkspawn hordes in the First Blight. The second son of King Ansgar Aeducan, he became heir after his elder brother died in a Proving.

Least Favorite Character

King Endrin.  Seriously dude, King "I want to doom my race because TRADITION demands it!"  Stop what you're doing.  If you can't look at all the pieces on the board, then stop playing chess.

I don't like the way he talks to you as Dwarven Noble PC if you say anything other than "Yes, Father" to him because he reacts like you are a servant.  Wonder where Trian got that wonderfully sunny, swoon-inducing attitude?  From his Daddy. 

A lot of this could also be commentary on the problems in the dwarven social structure and their caste system.  Trian and Endrin act imperiously because they are nobles, people expect them to be and they have been given license to be utter and complete shits to people because of an accident of birth.  They are as close to Gods as people can be in Orzammar, aside from Branka and that's how they act, that's how people treat them.  But is it right?  I think we all know the answer to that (it's a resounding Hell No, just in case you didn't).

And then he lets his second child walk the Deep Roads for a crime that he isn't sure they committed.  Now, we see from party banter with Varric in Legacy that this isn't exactly a new thing for the dwarves, but I mean am I the only one who thinks this is not only unjust, but stupid?  Dwarves, why are you feeding the darkspawn willingly by making people go down into the Deep Roads for committing crimes?  Does leaving babies in the Deep Roads really sound like a good idea dwarves?  There's a reason why the bulk of the darkspawn horde are genlocks.
