OMFG don't be surprised that this is REALLY out of character, first of all bc I DON'T KNOW MINSEOK EXCEPT HIS FACE?! And also bc you guys are supposed to be kinda old in here lmao. Anyways. You better love it. HAHA jk no i'm kidding. Go on.Â
Minseokâs eyes slowly opened at the sound of a lone bird, chirping just outside the window. He turned to the window and immediately brought a hand up to shield his eyes from the streaming sunlight that seemed to have slipped past the curtain.
He quietly groaned before turning his back to the window again. He looked down beside him and a small smile lit up his face, the small figure next to him moving slightly.
The figure next to him let out a quiet sigh and he froze, not wanting to wake her up.
âWhy did you move?â He heard her voice, muffled against his chest.
âSorry,â Minseok chuckled quietly and leaned down to give her a kiss on the top of her head. âGo back to sleep.â
âDonât want to now,â Miyah looked up to see Minseok smiling down at her.
âItâs still early and itâs a Sunday,â Minseok brought a hand up to her head, gently caressing her cheek with his thumb.
âI know,â Miyah grinned and moved her face closer to his. âBut I can think of something I might want to do more than sleep.â
âMiyah,â Minseok laughed. âWhat if we get caught?â
âThey should still be sleeping.â
âIrrelevant,â Minseok touched his forehead to hers. âYou know theyâre light sleepers.â
âNo, theyâre not,â Miyah grinned cheekily and Minseok couldnât help but laugh at how adorable she looked. Her eyes were looking up at him expectantly, that grin on her face reached her eyes, making them sparkle.
âNot even going to lie, itâs so tempting,â Minseok whispered and brought his face closer to hers.
âThen whatâs the problem?â Miyah whispered back, mesmerized by his eyes.
Minseok didnât reply and instead lightly pressed his lips against hers.
Miyah closed her eyes and brought her hands up this face, pulling him in closer.
âEw!â A voice shrieked at their bedroom door.
âAnd thatâs why,â Minseok laughed, pulling away to look at the small child standing at the foot of their bed as Miyah sighed in defeat.
âAshton, why are you already out of bed,â Miyah sat up on the bed.
âI pee-peed on the bed,â Ashton crawled onto their bed and Miyah and Minseok flinched at the sight of his wet pajamas touching their blankets.
âOh no,â Miyah sighed and got off the bed, grabbing Ashton under his arms, carrying him to the bathroom.
âAnd Iâll go change the sheets,â Minseok sighed as well, getting up off the bed and walking towards Ashton and Julietteâs room.
âDaddy?â Juliette was sitting on her bed calmly, her teddy bear in her hands.
âYes, sweetheart?â Minseok replied, taking the sheets and blankets off Ashtonâs bed.
âI pee-peed my bed too,â Julietteâs face broke out in a wide grin and Minseok almost dropped the blanket and sheets in his hands.
âDid you now?â Minseok tried to remain calm.
âNope!â Juliette laughed, clapping her hands in delight.
âJuliette,â Minseok exhaled in relief. âDonât do that to Daddy, sweetheart.â
âItâs fun!â Juliette climbed out of bed and clung onto Minseokâs leg.
âItâs fun because you take after your mother,â Minseok muttered, grinning slightly.
âDid you take off the sheets and blanket?â Miyahâs voice traveled over from their bathroom.
âYeap!â Minseok called back. âIs he clean?â
âIn the process!â Miyah replied, as Ashton sat calmly in their bathtub as Miyah scrubbed him down with soap.
âMommy, itâs cold,â Ashton pouted.
âSorry, baby,â Miyah turned on the water and rinsed off the soap with warm water. âBetter?â
Ashton nodded, grinning. He quietly splashed around the water and Miyah couldnât help but grin at how cute he looked, fascinated by the water. How she got so lucky with a calm son she would never know.
But of course⌠there were her two other sons, Aiden and Asher. As if on cue, she heard the yells and the crashing starting to happen out in the living room.
âAlready?â Miyah sighed and Ashton giggled at the exasperated expression on his motherâs face.
âMommy mad?â
âNo, baby, not mad,â Miyah grinned and turned off the water. She reached over to the side to get a fluffy white towel and began to dry him off.
âWhen are you going to stop wetting the bed, Ashton?â Miyah giggled, tapping his nose lightly.
âToday,â Ashton grinned shyly.
âGood. Thatâs my boy,â Miyah carried him in her arms and walked into his room to get some clothes.
âMom!â Aiden ran up to her, a scowl on his face. âAsher wonât give me the remote control! Iâm older so I should get it, right?!â
âNuh-uh!â Asher ran up to the two with the remote control in hand. âHe hit me so I should get to choose!â
Miyah looked down at her two sons, Ashton still in her arms.
âAiden, why did you hit your brother?â
âBecause he was being stupid,â Aiden frowned and stuck his tongue out at his younger brother.
âYOUâRE stupid,â Asher shouted back.
âAsher, donât yell inside the house,â Miyah gave him a warning look.
âWhoâs yelling?â Minseok walked into the room, Juliette right behind him, still holding onto his leg.
âAsher!â Aiden pointed at his younger brother.
âYou called me stupid!â Asher scowled.
âHoney, can you take these two boys out and figure out the TV situation?â Miyah sighed, shifting Ashton to the other side. âI still need to dress Ashton.â
âSure,â Minseok grinned at how cute his wife looked, flustered and on the verge of rolling her eyes. He knew she needed a break, and it couldnât have come at a better time. How did a girl forget her own wedding anniversary?
âDaaaad!â Minseok snapped out of his thoughts and looked down at Asher pouting. âPlease let me keep the remote?â
âYou know what,â Minseok held his hand out, shaking his head but smiling at the same time. âI think Dad will choose for both of you.â
âDaaaad!â Both Aiden and Asher groaned.
After cleaning, clothing, and feeding her children, Miyah exhaled lously, wiping down the kitchen counter. Sunday was a day for rest, but having kids meant no days for rest.
She was about to sit down when she felt Minseokâs hands slip around her waist.
âYou look tired,â he whispered into her ear.
âI am tired,â Miyah laughed, exasperated. âAre you not?â
âMaybe a little,â Minseok chuckled, his chin on her shoulder. âBut I need you to do something.â
âWhat now?â
âCan you go put on something nice?â
âWhat?â
âJust do it,â Minseok grinned, pulling on her waist to drag her to their room.
âWhat are you doing, Minseok?â Miyah sighed, letting him drag her to the closet.
âJust do it, donât ask questions,â Minseok smiled back at her cheekily.
âFine,â Miyah looked at him weirdly. What was he doing? This wasnât really like him. Telling her to get dressed wasnât really him.
âIâll be waiting outside!â
âOkay?â Miyah looked at him again, an eyebrow raised. She looked back at her closet and picked the first thing she saw.
âMinseok, what are we doing out?â Miyah looked out the car window. âIs it okay to just leave the kids with the sitter on such short notice?â
âIt wasnât short notice, love,â Minseok looked over to his side, grinning.
âWhatâs with all this mystery?â Miyah frowned, confused.
âJust relax,â Minseok chuckled quietly. âWeâre almost there.â
âOkay,â Miyah leaned back into her seat, watching the scenery pass by. The sun was shining brightly, and the vibrant colors of the different flowers stood out in the sea of green grass.
âItâs really pretty outside today,â Miyah smiled.
âYeap,â Minseok replied absent-mindedly.
âAre you okay? You seem kind of out of it,â Miyah looked at her husband, worried.
âIâm fine,â Minseok flashed her a grin and she felt her heart skip a beat. Even though theyâre married and have four children together, he still made her feel like they were in the honeymoon stages of their relationship.
Actually, they were probably never going to get over their honeymoon stage. Miyah couldnât imagine a time where she would ever tire of him.
Minseok looked over to his side again, his wife being unusually quiet. He saw her deep in thought, and he grinned to himself. The way she zoned out sometimes was just too cute. It was hard to imagine that someone so cute and child-like gave him four adorable children.
âUh,â Miyah felt Minseokâs gaze on her face and she blushed. âDonât you want to be looking at the road right now? I donât want our children to be orphans.â
âOh, right,â Minseok quickly turned his attention back on the road. âWeâre here anyways.â
âOh!â Miyah looked out the window. âItâs the steakhouse where you proposed?â
âYeap.â
âWhy are we eating steak?â
âBecause⌠I felt like it?â Minseok shrugged, getting out of the car.
âAlright,â Miyah got out of the car as well, looking at Minseok confusedly.
âHi,â Minseok grinned at the host. âI made a reservation for two under Minseok Kim.â
âRight this way,â a waiter came forward, holding two menus in his hands. He led the couple to a small table next to the window. The same exact table where Minseok proposed to her.
âMinseokâŚâ Miyah looked down at the table. âDid I forget something really important?â
âMaybe,â Minseok laughed, pulling out the chair for his wife. âTake a seat, princess.â
âOh no,â Miyah groaned, sliding into the chair. âI canât believe I forgot our wedding anniversary.â
âItâs been a hectic year,â Minseok replied, smiling. âI donât blame you.â
âI still feel really bad,â Miyah sighed. How she forgot, she didnât know. How she ended up with a man like Minseok⌠She was quite possibly the luckiest girl. Most husbands forget things like anniversaries but here Minseok was, preparing everything while she forgot.
âYouâre zoning out again,â Minseok grinned, his eyes lit with amusement.
âSorry,â Miyah replied sheepishly. âJust thinking.â
âAbout what?â Minseok asked curiously, taking a sip of his water.
âAbout you,â Miyah smiled. âHow did I end up with such a perfect husband?â
âA perfect wife needs a perfect husband, donât you think?â Minseok replied, a wide grin on his face. âCan I just tell you that you look just as beautiful as you did when we first met?â
âYou mean when I was fangirling your cute ass all those years ago?â
âYes,â Minseok laughed. âYou caught my attention and I never did get you out of my head.â
âRight,â Miyah shook her head. âMy life came straight out of a fanfic.â
The waiter stopped by their table and placed some bread on the table.
âYou entrĂŠes  will be coming out shortly,â the waiter gave them a polite nod.
âEntrĂŠe? â MIyah looked at him confusedly. âWe didnât order yetâŚâ
âI already ordered everything,â Minseok cut in, a mischievous grin on his face.
âOh,â Miyah looked back at her husband. âLet me guess. You ordered the exact same foods we ordered when you proposed.â
âAm I getting predictable?â Minseok laughed.
âJust a bit,â Miyah shook her head.
âWell⌠it has been 10 years,â Minseok grinned. âI wonder where the food is?â
As if on cue, the waiter came out with their food, and Miyah looked at Minseok after taking a quick glance at the small plate.
âPie?â
âBlueberry pie,â Minseok smiled softly. âTopped with some whipped cream.â
The waiter placed the plate down and Miyah stared at the ring atop of the whipped cream.
âIsnât that supposed to go inside the pie or something?â
âKnowing you, you probably would have swallowed it or choked on it because⌠yeah. Itâs pie,â Minseok replied.
âThanks,â Miyah rolled her eyes at him before looking at the ring. It wasnât as extravagant as her engagement ring but it was perfect. The band was thin and there was just a simple set princess cut diamond.
âI thought it fit you perfectly,â Minseok smiled sheepishly.
âI love it?â Miyah laughed and then stared at her husband as he got down on his knee next to her chair.
âMinseok, what the hell are you doing?â
âSh, let me talk,â Minseok shook his head.
âOkay,â Miyah looked down at him uncertainly.
âWhen I first met you, I knew that you were the girl I wanted to marry. The girl who would be the mother of my children. The face I would wake up to every morning for the rest of my life,â Minseok paused, taking her hands into his. âYouâre just everything to me, youâre my entire world and I feel like I needed to show you this because to be honest, I donât feel like I tell you this enough.â
âMinseokâŚâ Miyah tried not to tear up.
âI know weâre already married but I wanted to let you know that every day spent with you is precious to me and I can only feel my love for you getting stronger as time passes and each time I feel my love for you grow, I think to myself âHow is that possible?â but you make the impossible become possible. I love you, Song Miyah.â Â
