How do you think lucifer's gonna end? because currently my biggest dread is that after all that buildup and formation of amAzing relationships on the show, Lucifer will eventually have to return to hell & say goodbye to everyone on earth and who knows how far away the series finale is but I don't feel emotionally prepared for that kind of ending
I don’t feel like I can speculate super much on the ending, just because it’s obviously still so far away at this point. I have definitely thought/worried about that kind of ending, but as they have said it’s a redemption story (many times) and because the show is essentially a comedy, as well as being fairly light-hearted in tone, I don’t think they’ll put in all the work and development just to have him go back to hell and leave everyone for good. I obviously do think he might have to go back at some point, for whatever reason, but because they are treating him as someone who is like any other character and thus can be redeemed, he won’t end up just losing everything he’s fought for. He won’t get to where he’s gotten just to fall (like he did the first time) in other words.
My favorite headcanon currently is that they play up the Hades/Persephone parallels and that it ends with him and Chloe spending half the year in hell, and half the year in Los Angeles, and that they maybe change hell altogether or even overcome the need for it. There is a lot they could still do, and hey, they killed an archangel (Uriel) introduced God’s wife, and are redeeming the Devil and giving him a love story, so I think they’ll feel fairly free to craft an ending that suits the characters and narrative and is emotionally satisfying, rather than staying tied to any particular theology constraints.
(And I am horrible, but if that ending did happen, I’d a) cry for a thousand years, and b) kind of love it anyway, I can’t lie, because yes. I don’t think it will though.)

They;d probably suppress the hell out of it and if they didn't vent to anyone they could end up yelling at someone for no apparent reason
