KILGHARRAH Your destiny is to protect the young Pendragon until he claims his crown, and when he does, magic can be returned to the realm. Only then will I be free.

okay but fuck kilgharrah for everything he does but like this is the first hint we get about merlin being a dragonlord and how powerful merlin actually is
we get to see his power on display later on in the episode but this is the first true confirmation we get that merlin is of the old religion
