i’ve been reading ‘killer queens’ by @starsarestories and there have been a few of those that i absolutely love ;

the problems with Remus’ hip - a tragic nod to atyd

James collecting dried flowers - you can’t not think about reg in cr

Evan calling Barty bee - very kyd of him

and ofc we can’t miss Remus being asked if he’s ever kissed someone which is both a reference to atyd and tcoptp (bc i can’t decide which one)

(Describing Leopold and Loeb after their first night out at the gay clubs together)

“They would also have to figure out how to keep their real identities from the other guys they would meet in these gay clubs and tea shops. While still in the car driving home, they created the nicknames of “Babe” for Leopold and “Dickie” for Loeb. These would be the names they would use during any of the gay activities they were involved in or with any of the men they had met during them.

“These nicknames later also became their code when one wanted to let the other know what he had in mind. So, in front of family or friends, Leopold might say to Loeb, ‘We need to go visit Dickie and Babe and see how they are doing with their studies.’ Of course, this would really mean that they needed to become Dickie and Babe and go to Tower Town to people watch.”
