Kill Matilda was a punk rock group from British Columbia. Their style has been described as sweaty dance punk with zombie hunter vibes, and their shows are energetic and fueled by rage.

Songs of Survival was Kill Matilda's last album, following the zombie apocalyptic theme of, "the war is over, let's rebuild the world."

This album's got six songs, including a very amped up cover of Bonnie Tyler's Holding Out For A Hero.

I love it. Kill Matilda is music "from my own backyard", being a BC native. I learned about Kill Matilda from a youth theatre group called Street Spirits when I started going back in 2015, because back in the day, before my time, one of the members of Kill Matilda was a Street Spirits member. (How cool!)

Kill Matilda is fast paced fun. I would've loved to see them live. They still rock, although they're no longer together. Every song from this album is a banger.

Canada’s favorite sweaty, sexy punk rock nomads Kill Matilda are proud to announce from now until Dec 27th they will be donating 50% of their pay-what-you-want sales from their latest release ‘Songs For Survival’ to aid in the sponsorship of a Syrian refugee to Canada. In addition, the government of Canada will match all funds raised.
