and just as much as they butt heads, they understand each other's logical football best as 'talented learners'. they had no clear cut way to the top, and the bitterness at how their world can crumble at the flick of a 'genius', led them to team up with each other at the end of nel. because they understood each other's refusal to lose to these so called geniuses beyond their own personal conflicts. the enemy of my enemy is my friend, or something like that. the crash of their egoes and drives to be top of the world sparked and it was a beautiful play on the stage that was nel.

i think this sort of unconventional relationship is the most Them at the state they are in during the neo egoist league, with all their conflicts, smarts and issues. this connection is uniquely them <3 they spurr each other on to be better, and support each other the best because they know each other's flaws and strong points. ofc they do. they were rivals that tore each other apart before being temporary allies. their play style exploits players' weaknesses and assets; foe or friend — and that includes each other. :)

i love unconventional love languages, and i genuinely believe them choosing each other as rivals to beat in football is more demonstrative than any kiss or marriage could ever be for them. playing against or by each other, choosing the other to be your goal again and again— that's a promise too.

when i think about it like this— isagi choosing someone else as a rival or spurring on someone else (onazi) to become better like he does for kaiser, isn't that almost like their own sort of break up LOL. how so? well, it's more so a break up in the mind of a person that has unhealthy attachments and issues with healthy relationships and boundaries. which . you know who. who fits the bill ........
