1. the character everyone gets wrong

an shiraishi.

her fans - amazing. they get her.

most non-an fans dont get her though. she feels heavily like an afterthought, or just there to emphasise akitos personality, or to be in yuri with kohane. she is one of my favourite characters and id say better written than the bad dogs, or at the very least equal to them.

put some respect on her name AND her issues.

BONUS : SHIZUKU IS NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE. SHES WONDERFUL AND HAS DEPTH<3

2. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

kohane & ichika

dude. even if nothing else. their vocals. oh my god. their vocals are SO GOOD. ICHIKA IDK MUCH ABOUT YET BUT HER VOCALS MAKE HER AN EASY FAV FOR ME.

kohane is actually very very nicely written to be a supportive character for the rest of the group, and fulfills the role very well. she actually had a lot of growth, and its not the "introvert->extrovert" type shit. its her genuinely gaining confidence in herself, and alongside that confidence in her place in VBS, which in turn helps out her friends. its very nice but ppl dont recognise it so much bec its subtle

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

hi ruikasa. maybe im biased cuz ive not done wxs stories but . how is it SO many peoples hyperfocus. same with akty a bit. i get why they like it but not why SO many OBSESS over it /no hate intended.

characterisation of toya being dumb (social wise). i get it when people r trying to write autistic coding, or its bec of his upbringing, but a lot of the time they deadass just make him stupid. like trust me in this situation he would be understanding so much more than youre allowing. i know many autistic people and none of them are like that. its so frustratingly exaggerated, and unrealistic to most if not all people.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

the !!! friendships !!! between !!! everyone !!!

oh my gollies i could go on yaps forever and ever about how this fandom is so so so heavy ship focused it makes me wanna tear my hair out. and i LIKE that the canon doesnt confirm any ships , because it allows for an exploration in all aspects and forms of friendship and the difficulties that may involve (its one of the main reasons im looking forward to doing the FULL l/n and mmj stories !)

they arguably write friendship very well for the most part, better than a lot of the other stuff they write HAJAJS and yet people only only ever focus on the romantic connotations.

like with vbs, its either the vivids and bad dogs or polysquad, never just the gang. hanging out. or 2 of them chilling (platonic akikoha my loves)

ESPECIALLY the fandom w mizu5/ena5???? hello??? its about their FRIENDship brother there is no romance here YET. I LOVE MIZUENA BTW BUT OH MY GOD. THERE ARE MORE PRESSING THINGS IN THE STORY.
