Kuya (which means "Big Brother" in Tagalog) is the silent protagonist of Kid Heroes Production's "Deep Fried Universe" which began with a little independent movie called "Lumpia," followed up by a Kickstarter-funded sequel called "Lumpia with a Vengeance," and has since expanded into a comic book series. As a Filipino-American, it was a breath of fresh air to see people who look like me up on the big screen, so I wanted to try my hand at making fan art of some of the key characters.
