is now banished to peeling apart the wrappers for everyone else

like you would not guess that it was his first time wrapping from how good he is

would be better but he gets excited and suffers for it

the aunties love him

at least one of them knows abt him from his opera days and hes dragged into karaoke but thats a different post

actively tries to sabotage you when he notices you wrapping faster and neater than him

tried to taste the flour paste or egg wash for the hell of it

also a family favorite because hes a doctor (we are not beating the medical field stereotypes boys)

this mf can wrap better than you and its infuriating

immediately charms all the aunties. like if you break up with him at any point there will be a riot in the family gc

every time he scoops filling its literally PRECISE like zero error tolerance you are convinced he has some weird evol mutation because this should not be possible

you try to distract him so his rolls loosen. it does not work

you go to bed with a bruised ego that day but he gets you dessert to make up for it

decent with wrapping

like its nothing to write home about but its not bad

he tries so hard with it that he can't even be faulted for a little wonky wrapping

also takes literally forever with it you're done with 2 by the time he does 1

off topic but the karaoke machine hates to see him coming

is SO proud of his tray of uneven rolls

brings some home for luke and keiran and now you have to do lumpia days with them too

you also have to somehow get the recipe, which means consulting literally half of your family and cobbling together measurements from "just season until it tastes right"

and his rolls looks good!! you can't see anything wrong with them!!

but then they fall apart when you fry them because he got overconfident and didn't seal any of them good enough

gets put in the shame pan (shallow frying) while the rest of the lumpia goes in the deep fryer

you do not let him live it down for months
