Paciano doesn't directly call Abel ugly or anything, he's not purposefully cruel. Not...always. Paciano is just a crooked, mean old asshole who thinks women should look a very particular way in his mind. She's often confronted by the idea that he might like cis women more than herself, him commenting on other women's bodies, facial features, asking her if she wants things like work done on her to fix features she doesn't need fixed. All of these things he does out of pure ignorance to how it would make Abel feel, never once does he consider her position, or take into account how it would make her feel. His mother was only around until he was 5. There wasn't much positive, non-sexualized women around him at that point in time. (His father worked with sex workers and dancers, but he never witnessed anything, he only knew the women from occasional interactions.) That being said, none of this justifies him saying or doing any of this to Abel. She'll have her moment to make things straight with Paciano >B) don't you worry.
