[AU] How comfortable are you with the rest of the Desai family? You know, Karen, Vikram, and Tara?
Karen Mrs. Desai is really nice to me. Danny says it’s because me and Jo are like the daughters she always wanted. Sometimes, she lets me stay over later than I’m supposed to and talks my mom down from whatever rant she might go on about my being at a boy’s house so late.
Mr. Desai doesn’t talk much. He’s normally really busy. When he’s around, he normally watches soccer or drinks a beer or eats his dinner with his phone on the table.
Tara’s…. She’s nice, but Danny really doesn’t like her, so it makes it awkward for me sometimes. She doesn’t seem like a bad person or anything. He just hates her. I mean, I like her. She watches us and lets us go running around or watch lots of movies, so that’s a plus!
