Kickstarter Backer Live Streams Info
Hello, everyone! Noelle here! One of the rewards we plan to have for Kickstarter is backer only live streams via a Facebook group. Why a Facebook group? It was the most cost effective way we could figure out how to keep these live streams completely backer only. It was also the only way we could truly block and remove someone from the stream if we absolutely needed to along with many other features we needed. Kickstarter Live seemed like the simplest alternative, but it isn’t backer exclusive. Then we thought about Google Hangouts, but that’s prone to intrusive bots and people that can find their way in because it can’t truly be private and it’s mute/kick people function is lacking. We thought of join.me, but you have to pay for a subscription to allow a lot of people to join and others could still invite more people in. So as it appears our best bet for a truly backer exclusive experience is Facebook Live. We’re going to test this method of live streaming with our backers from our first Kickstarter attempt and see how it’ll work out before we finalize it for a reward for our second Kickstarter attempt.
