i lay in bed tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. i sit bolt upright, a sudden wave of desire for plain ramen noodles coursing through my veins. i check my watch. it's after midnight: it's officially May.

the emotions i am feeling with the return of kenzie and cheryl, the loss of the rttptpp, the return of carla, and just the sheer presence of aerin frankel my beloved. are such a strong shield from the whiplash of whatever the fuck is actually happening on the ice tonight.

i lost my job in a melodramatically spectacular fashion a month ago yesterday, and ive just kind of been in an unemployment fugue state since then. cut to me tonight at like 6:59pm eastern discovering a job im like actually really excited about the prospect of doing with a company i really like that seems like i might be able to pitch myself well for??? and then immediately getting knocked over the head with this fucking hockey game
