Aunty Yoke Har @88spicesnz wanted to celebrate her return to health with a slap up Malaysian dinner with hubby Tony, Aunty JL, Uncle and Richard & Helen Doretysen (they run Clevedon Farmers Market) and their children Hugo and Saskia. Richard & Helen also produce the best buffalo mozzarella in the land at Clevedon Valley Buffalo Co. We started with the usual Kiam Chye Th’ng (preserved mustard green & tofu soup) and KK Special Tofu with sweet chilli sauce topped with cucumber & peanuts. Aunty KK cooked her incomparable vegetarian Char Bee Hoon, followed by Mamee Pork Ribs (with Marmite) and a Sambal Eggplant. No meal at KK is complete without the Butter Prawn smothered in egg floss and the Chicken Rendang.
