I always loved the fact that most KH villains are scientists involved in questionable experiments that give life to world-consuming horrors. Horrors that I always found kinda adorable since I was a child, lol. Long before DDD’s release, I distinctly remember wishing we could “collect” the heartless like Pokémon... so, yeah, I have a soft spot for the Dream-Eaters.
Honestly, I really hope that the Master of Masters is going to be an extravagant character that can be both entertaining as hell and absolutely terrifying when the situation requires him to be. The character that gets closer to what I have in mind is probably Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls, of all things.
I also REALLY hope he’s not Demyx. Nothing against Demyx, he’s a cute boy, I just hope MoM is its own brand new character and that he’s not really called “Super” because it just sounds so dumb to me. This may be because I am Italian and anytime Latin is used in games it just sounds like a parody of my native language :<. It’s hard for me to say names like Aqua and Terra with a straight face.
I know I’m not the first one to suggest this, but if I had to pick a name for Pride-guy, honestly I’d drop the “let’s chop the Latin word in half and keep the first part as a name” convention that the Foretellers’ names follow and go for:
Superbia. Master Perbia sounds decent to me.
Perhaps we could also add an S so that the name rolls off the tongue a bit better: Master Perbias.
Which sounds a bit like ‘Tobias’ but it’s still weird and exotic enough to fit the setting. You know, like Gaiman’s Coraline/Caroline, Bloodborne’s Micolash/Nicolas, Dark Souls’ Sulyvahn/Sullivan. Just... change the letters around a little bit so that the name sounds both familiar and mysterious at the same time.
