Two students corrupted by darkness, facing their masters

Edit: I should clarify, this is Blue timeline Eraqus (nicknamed Knight)— a version of him who becomes a better person way before time traveling. He travels to the Red timeline, where his Red timeline self (Lost) is the one who tries to kill Ven and Terra. Knight would have never tried to hurt his family when he got older, but he’s still VERY saddened to see the damage his other self did.

Sad little time travel AU Eraqus feeling the impacts of all the awful things his other self does in another timeline. It’s hard to see people you love flinch when you so much as move too quickly, but the things his other self did to Ven and Terra were so horrifying, can you blame them for being on edge?

And every time Terra resists. Every time that temptation rears its head he shakes it off.

Until he finds Master Eraqus attempting to kill Ventus. And when Terra steps in and protects his friend, Eraqus tells him straight out that if he doesn't obey, he'll kill Terra too.

I found it interesting how Fairy Godmother talked about jealousy being darkness, and then later Xehanort heavily implies that not only does Terra's darkness comes from jealousy over Aqua and Ven's light, but that it was only natural. What else could he do?

With that in mind, I wanted to read Fairy Godmother's answer to Aqua's question of what she could do instead of fighting darkness with light to also apply to what Aqua could have done to help Terra.

Jaq is Cinderella's friend, and actively trying very hard to be a good friend by trying to unlock the room where she's been locked up. Fairy Godmother wants Aqua to help Jaq, therefore also acting as Cinderella's friend.

Aqua was trying to act as a Keyblade Master to help Terra. More specifically, following what Master Eraqus told her to do. Following Terra around, trying to keep him from straying, it's what a Keyblade Master should have done, right?

You ever think about how Aqua knowingly lied to Ventus about his origins, saying he's always been with her and Terra?

Aqua (and Terra, but Aqua more so) has always been protective of Ven, but this seems a bit too much for her to come up with on her own. Eraqus probably had something to do with this, most likely ordering them to say as much.
