Khonvum
The Mbuti creator god, Khonvum first built the world and its creatures, and then peopled it by lowering clay humans down from the sky on ropes. He then left the mortals for his place as ruler of the heavens. Each morning, he awakens the sun by hurling at it the fragments of star he has gathered overnight.
Khonvum is also a god of the hunt, wielding a bow crafted from two snakes which humans perceive only as a rainbow. He is able to contact humans through either the elephant, Gor, or a messenger chameleon.
