I’ve tried to articulate this before but I just love that Xehanort really harbors no resentment towards Kairi. I mean, undoubtedly he uses her, but compared to how he treats the rest of the cast he praises her way more and never really insults her that I can remember. It’s just really good angst when she’s trying to show how much she resents him and he doesn’t reflect that sentiment back at her at all. Genuinely I just think she amuses him and I find that perfect.

I think that maybe Terra’s radiant garden storyline involving him discovering something darker going on underneath the surface is in fact a veryyy fun bit of foreshadowing. Add in Xehanort and Braig and a plot line about taking people prisoner and it’s like hmmmm yes. Perfect.

making my own post bc I don’t want to argue with someone over a reasonable complaint BUT! I think the reason melody of memory has the radiant garden researchers look into Kairi’s memory rather than Naminé is because it’s a parallel to what happened with Apprentice Xehanort:
