Dr SM Balaji presents groundbreaking research work at IADR General Session, Iguacu Falls, Brazil Dr SM Balaji participated in the General Session of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), which was conducted at Iguacu Falls, Brazil. This annual conference features the best dental research from around the world. Dr SM Balaji is the Secretary General of the IADR – Indian Division. He delivered a keynote scientific lecture about the innovative utilization of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rh-BMP2) for the closure of orofacial clefts. The Award of Excellence was presented to him by the Congress President, Dr Mary MacDougall for his excellent presentation. Dr SM Balaji invited to deliver keynote lecture on Cleft Lip and Palate Deformities at Annual Conference of the Brazilian Dental Association The Brazilian Dental Association conducted its Annual Conference in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Leading researchers and academics were invited to present cutting edge scientific research papers at the conference. Dr SM Balaji was invited to present a keynote lecture at the inaugural session on “Surgical Management of Complex Cleft Lip and Craniofacial Deformities.” This was in recognition of his ground breaking research into the management of craniofacial deformities. He spoke about the comprehensive surgical rehabilitation of patients with complete restoration of both function and esthetics. He was presented with the Award of Excellence for his scientific presentation, which presented new knowledge towards surgical management of cleft lip and craniofacial deformities. This was presented by the President of the Brazilian Dental Association Dr Norberto Lubiana.
