So, I just discovered today exactly how easy it is to switch keyboard language layouts in linux. It turns out once you have them installed it is just a click of a button to switch between them and it lets you have different programs set to different languages! This is going to make writing things in foreign languages so much easier. No more trying to remember what shortcut code I set for ß or ü or ö or ä or ñ or ó or é. They are at most two key presses.
The downside I suppose is that the German keyboard layout has the positions of the z and y switched from the English(US) keyboard layout so I've been writing some kind of weird sentences.
