OMG GABBY i did not expect this question but just thinking about the reasons really made me smile like an idiot so i literally made a document to take note of them before i run out of words HAHAHA

Well, *taps mic* when he made his first appearance in the anime, I was rlly attracted to his face (and his voice?? 😳) ngl HAHAHAHASKAHSKAH i thought that he was such a precious bean, and his interaction with Hinata was so heartwarming to me.

However, in the latter episodes and the manga, like any other character, his deeper side was revealed. Now, i love Kenma’s character because first of all, seeing him really reminds me of the highschool version of myself (though i guess he’s more extreme than me). I was also kind of uncomfortable talking to new people because I was afraid of their judgment about me, and because of that, I also became really observant about the behaviors and expressions of other people. So yeah, i really saw my earlier self in him AHAHAH he may look dull bc he doesnt speak to people a lot, but he’s actually very observant and strategic and he uses those qualities to his advantage as a setter. ALSO he doesnt like physically straining himself so he thinks of ways he can “slack off”, but for me, i see that as a way of being efficient, and we love an efficient king amirite (yep that’s reason #2)

Thirdly, he brings a lot of surprises about himself. Because of the way his character was presented in the first chapters, I really was not ready for the moments where he showed his competitive side. Like that time when he said to Hinata, “i’d like to play a game with you that’s not a practice game. A game where it’s immediately game over if you lose” ??? i was like, BROOOO Y U GOT TO BE LIKE THAT I THOUGHT YOU WERE A CHILL PERSON GIVE MY HEART BACK

I also saw how very goal-driven he was when it comes to the things he really likes. He really does not give up until he wins. I mean,, he might have picked this up from playing games but also,, that nekoma vs. karasuno game ?? probably one of the best games for me in the manga ugh i was rlly cheering for the both of them

All in all, i really love how he can secretly come up with plans to destroy you jk he’s mainly strategic and efficient as a person!! He’s really a character that I look up to and I want to be like him in a way <3
