“You’re a terrible listener.” She comments while watching him miss the target. That was surprising. “I thought as Apollo’s son you would have uncanny accuracy.” Then she paused for a few moments in self reflection. “Well it took me awhile to gain a green thumb myself. Still remember the time my grandma scolded me for letting her collard greens die that one time. But I was also like ten, she was tripping.” She chuckled a bit and starts messing with one of the spare bows. “Did you even have interest in archery before?”

Elio bites his lips so he wouldn’t snap at Kendrix’ remark. Because he too thought his aim should be a given. He’d never been this bad at it before, but then again the stakes were never this high. “No. But always had a talent for hitting a target. I got into collage thanks to a hockey scholarship, I was that good at scoring goals.” After another shot, Elio finally manages to hit the target and sighs in relief. “Do you want to try?” he asks, noticing the bow in her hands.
