It’s a clause in the Alliance Employee Handbook, subsection: Dress Code. I’m allowed to pick out the team uniform, and I was looking for a bargain because we were a little broke after giving Gault access to the Alliance discretionary funds (protip: don’t do that). Theron made the mistake of not locking his closet one day, so I raided his and stole all of his extra jackets. Sadly, I think the theft of his signature style is why things got out of hand last year, and how we wound up with the tr8r jacket and the thonghawk.
Also, I wanted to help make up for the difference in @theronshansjacket ’s royalty checks after 5.2.2 came out *sniff* That poor jacket has been through so much.
Okay, the real reason is I put every single companion I had in Old Red as a joke when game update 5.2.2 came out and everyone was dressing poor Theron in hotpants and throwing his red leather jackets into the bonfire. I got lazy that evening and logged out without changing everyone back, and then because I have the memory of a goldfish, I kept forgetting and cracking myself up when they would pop up in cut scenes with that on, or I’d be wandering around base and slam into another red jacket.
It sort of… escalated from there.
But mostly… it makes me giggle in an undignified manner, and apparently I’m that easily amused.
