Thoughtful Dinosaur is a small project by Kelci Crawford ( @kelcid ) that I backed on Kickstarter, back in September of 2016.

I got it in the mail a couple of days ago, read it and...I really liked it, and have decided to share my thoughts on it.

Thoughtful Dinosaur is about Billy Veloci, a dinosaur who isn’t exactly where she hoped she’d be once she graduated college. To make matters worse, she get’s laid off from her job, along with most of the people working there, and has to try and pick her life back up, and find a place for herself in this crazy world.

What follows is a short, but very uplifting and relatable story. I don’t want to talk about it too much, considering it’s a relatively short comic, but let’s just say it’s story is one that says, “Just because you didn’t go where you thought you’d go in life, doesn’t mean you can’t find another good destination.”

This might sound weird but, probably what I admire most about this story is the simplicity of it. It just kind of shows a period in this character’s life. There are no villains, no big tragedies, it’s just this character trying to overcome an obstacle that many regular people have had to overcome at some point in their lives. And sometimes that’s all you need, just something kind of down to earth and relatable (albeit with anthropomorphic dinosaurs and fantasy creatures).

I honestly feel like reading something like this is what I needed right now. I’m kind of in a similar boat that Billy is in at the beginning of the story. I’m not exactly sure where my life is going right now. One of my biggest fears now is “the future”. The future’s unpredictable and usually doesn’t go where you hope it’s going to go, but at the same time, you can find something that gives your life meaning, even if it’s small, in places you didn’t exactly think you’d find it.

1) What are you currently listening too? The hum of my laptop and fridge in the kitchen accompanied by the tapping of my laptop keys.

3) What time do you normally fall asleep? It really varies a lot. That's probably why I'm always tired. >.>

4) Favorite game atm? Mass Effect. All of them. Always.

5)What is your OTP? Femshep and Garrus, leave me alone, it just really makes me happy

6) If money was no option and you LIKE to cosplay, who would you choose? I couldn't just choose one, I'd pick a ton. I'd be Chell, a human GLaDOS maybe, Elizabeth, Weiss, Elsa, and a million others I can't pick off the top of my head. Mostly I just kinda wanna do a bunch of couple cosplays with my friends

9) Favorite shirt? Since it's cold probably my black and gray stripe-y shirt with the hood and my N7 hoodie

I ~ If you could live and work anywhere in the world [[and didn’t have to worry about language]] were would you go??

I have trouble choosing between Rome and Zagreb. I love Rome because it is a big city with a lot of culture and art, it’s busy, crowded yet magical. I love Zagreb because I lived 6 years there and it’s a calm, small and beautiful city where everything is at a walking distance and there coffee culture (lot’s of cafés to keep warm in the winter or cool off in the summer). Anyways if I really had to choose, I’d probably choose Zagreb (I flipped a coin).

II ~ If you could choose five famous people to be close friends with who would you choose??

J.K. Rowling, Philip Pullman, Michael Bublé, Edgar Allen Poe and Frank Sinatra (I’m assuming dead famous people count too),

III ~ If you had to live in the same place you live now, but in a different time period when would you choose??

The 60’s…good music

IV ~ If you drink alcohol, what is your favourite to drink?? [[that you most enjoy, not what gets you most drunk]]

Sex on the beach (or any fruity type of drink will do… as long as it’s sweet)

V ~ If you could get any quantity and species of pets [[you are able to afford and care for them, and allergies aren’t a problem]] what would you like to have??

Dogs (I will always have a dog) and a Margay. I’d probably have a West Highland White Terrier, Pug and a Samoyed (because they are like little polar bears but less dangerous). 

VI ~ What is you favourite smell??

Verbena or cinnamon.

VII ~ What languages can you speak fluently??

English and Spanish. I also speak German pretty well, but I get confused with der, die, das.

VIII ~ Which languages would you like to learn??

Japanese, Croatian (I know some..wish I knew more), French and Italian.

IX ~ What is your favourite TV series??

What isn’t my favourite TV series?? Hahaha. It’s hard to choose… I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, Pretty Little Liars, Revenge, American Horror Story, OUAT (and many more). I also love Friends (I still watch the episodes when I can and I laugh at the same jokes I’ve always laughed at…it’s just so good!!) and Buffy (will never stop loving Buffy)

English and Spanish (I went to an international school…basically they are the same subject but with different books and in different languages).

Yes!!! T-Rex are my favorite because of their little hands.
