Shiro

Shiro never really knew you had a bad ass side to you

He knew you could take care of yourself and you were strong, but not in a sense where you were protective

You cared for people a lot, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise

But nevertheless, the day he got in a sticky spot on amission you came running towards him, fire in your eyes

Shiro didn’t know whether to be relieved or terrified

You singlehandedly took down 3 Galra guards

He was really out of it for a few seconds

Just kinda in awe by you

Keith

Keith never feels like he needs protecting

Being a Paladin, he’s just used to protecting everyone else and hoping not to die cause no one is going to save him-he has to save his own skin

But with you it’s different

You guys in battle go back to back just fighting off enemies, taking down sentries in your guys’ weak spots

He always in shock on how quick you are

A Galra could be advancing and you’ve already shot the soldier down before Keith can even register what happened

But after battles your hard exterior turns into something else

All you want to do is to hold Keith and snuggle in his warmth

Which is new and foreign to Keith but-he grows to kinda like it!

Lance

*sigh

Lance was so blinded and naive

On your first training session, Lance was going to “teach you the ropes” , thinking he was helping you

Because Lance only saw your soft side

He never knew you had this hardcore side to you

He was afraid one day you would get hurt because-well-you were too sweet

What LIES

But Lance wasn’t noticing and a battle droid just started advancing

You grabbed your weapon and went AT it

You’re so sweet, how could you be so aggressive and-hot?

Lance was definitely phased

Like ALOT

His fave so red because all he could see was how strong you were and how attractive it was and how stupid he was to think you were weak

Hunk

Hunk is totally blindsided

He loves you for all sides of you-but he feels kinda guilty for you trying to protect him

It’s nice of course to know you care for him, and because he knows he would act the same way in your shoes

Like the Time a glara grabbed his bayard and you literally SPRINTED WHILE SHOOTING A GUN at the droid to get his weapon back

But he doesn’t want you getting hurt

He’s always hugging you, even though you do it to him all the time

He just likes to remind you that he’s there and you’re there and you both are gonna be okay

Also this is probably crap cuz I don't know how to write Keith very well?? Ik ik that's a horrible excuse.

Y'all wanted it so here it is:

You had woke up to a pounding headache and a horrible fever and it Sucked. Though you played it off as if you were fine. You couldn't afford to be sick, there was to many things that needed to get done. Quickly taking a shower and getting dresses in pants and tank top with (F/c) flannel tied around your waist, putting on your shoes and walking out of your room, Going to dining room and sitting in your normal spot. Soon enough everyone else had come and sat down and started eating. You just sat there looking at your food. You didn't feel well at all and knew eating food would make you feel worse so you didn't touch it.

Keith noticed something was off when (Y/n) didn't even touch their food. Normally they always ate something even if it was just few bites. He was worried for them. He had liked them for a while now and he couldn't bare seeing them this way. They looked miserable. Keith stood up and left the room, waiting outside the door for (Y/n) to come out.

You walked out the door only for someone to grab your hand and pull you aside. You looked, startled, only to see Keith pulling you to an empty room not to far away from where you just were. He quickly pushed you in before stepping inside himself, closing the door and standing in front of it with his arms crossed.

"What's wrong? And don't lie to me and say you're fine because I know you're not." He said sounding slightly angry at the end.

You turned your head looking anywhere but Keith.

"I-uh what gave you the idea something was wrong??" You replied with a small voice crack at the end. Keith started talking again but you couldn't hear him because your head was pounding so hard. As you stood there you suddenly felt dizzy and you stumbled. Keith quickly grabbed your arm and steadied you. He put his hand to your forehead gently and quickly removed it.

"(Y/n) you're burning up! Why didn't you tell anyone you weren't feeling well??" He asked, sounding panicked. "You really should go lie down... Come on let's get you to my room." He said and he went and picked you up bridal style.

You just closed your eyes and let Keith carry you. Your headache and spun and soon enough you blacked out.

Your eyelids felt heavy as you started to wake up. You moved slightly only to feel something touching the side of your face. Opening your eyes you find Keith laying with his hand near your face and a damp cloth in his hand. He was sleeping, his shallow breath calming you slightly. You coughed trying to keep it quiet but that didn't happen and Keith opened his eyes half way, as if he was ready to go back to sleep any minute.

"Good morning." He mumbled with his deep morning voice. He leaned forward and gave me quick Peck on my lips. I closed my eyes before opening them, realizing what he had just done. His eyes were as big as saucers and he scooted away a bit, falling off the bed as he did. You quickly move over to see him lying on the floor in complete shock.

"I didn't mean to- I mean I liked it don't get me wrong- umm what I'm trying to say is..." He said all flustered.

"I-i um, I like you... A lot." He said with a blush on his face. Your eyes go wide for a second. You never thought he'd like you back.

"I like you too." You told him. He sat up so your faces were level and, with you still laying on the bed and him still sitting on the floor, he kissed you. This kiss was a little longer than the first and it was an awkward angle but neither of you cared. You quickly opened your eyes and moved away from the kiss. He opened his eyes, slightly confused and hurt.

"I'm sick, remember? I don't want you to get sick either..." You trailed off. He smiled

"It's worth it." He said before he pulled himself up so he was facing you before kissing you again, Longer and deeper, filled with so much love.

Chapter 3 On The Ship

Your POV

Keith leads me to the ship that landed yesterday. We go aboard. I see an assortment of people and I am guessing they gathered here to meet me. Immediately a tall Cuban boy approaches me. He takes my hand and kisses me.

“Hello hot shot, YN,” He says, “I am the Handsome Lance, the paladin of the Blue Lion. I will be happy to show you around.”

“Oh, you already know my name? Pleased to meet you.” I chuckle.

A woman steps up.

“I am Princess Allura.”

“Hello.”

Now a man with a huge orange mustache walks over and introduces himself as Coran. Then a girl tells me she is Pidge. Next is Hunk. Finally, a man introduces himself.

“I am Shiro. And I figure you have already met Keith. Welcome to Team Voltron.” Shiro says.

“I will show you around the ship.” Keith offers.

“Hey, me too!” Lance puts in.

Lance grabs my hand and leads me along. I look back at Keith. I shrug. I barely know this dude, but he has the guts to hold my hand! Still, he is cute. Keith continues to stare into my eyes. Finally, he starts to catch up with me and Lance. Lance looks back at Keith and whispers to me, “lets show him who IS BOSS.” He uses his index finger to move my face to look into his. He pushes his face into mine and our lips meet. I push him back, startled at the sudden impact. I hear Keith behind us.

“HEY!!! YOU DON’T JUST SMOOCH A GIRL YOU BARELY KNOW LANCE!!!”

“Come on Keith, chill hot head!” Lance yells back.

“No you IDIOT!” Keith tackles Lance.

Now they are in a huge fight. I am outraged. I watch as a sudden blue force separates them. I run down the hall, not even knowing where I am going.

Keith’s POV

Hey bb! I ship you with....

Keith!

He loves your skin tone

It reminds him of spring and summer

And your freckles are SO ADORABLE

He loves your curiosity and how a lot of things are interesting to you

He always just sees stuff for what they are but you like to find more info beneath the surface and he just loves that about you

Hell definitely have to warm up to your snake

He’s not really big on non-furry pets but hell like him in time!

Whenever you’re being down on yourself or on the future he’s the one who hardcore gives you a pep talk

There kinda blunt but they do the trick!

One of his favorite things about you is he’ll tell a sarcastic joke and it’ll take you forever to get it, but once you do you’ll laugh for hours and r loves that sound

Your guys humor is so different

He could laugh at one thing and you could have no reaction, while you’ll be laughing hysterically and he’d just be so confused

You guys have both a guilty pleasure of watching Lance do something kinda stupid and watching him fail miserably

He loves listening to yiu play

It makes him feel all warm and happy inside and feel so lucky he has you

Keith has the same fear of people leaving him, so he would never do it to you

And if he did he'd feel terrible

Sometimes your both hot-head stubbornness personalities would clash

WIth Keiths duty as leader of Voltron, hes got VERY high levels of stress

Like on a scale of 1-10 its a 15

Chapter 1-New Recruit

“So who is this, the spirit of Voltron you were talking about?” Lance asks.

“The spirit will make Voltron stronger, agiler, the spirit will enhance Voltron’s abilities, and add more!” Alura exclaims.

“Where will we find this spirit?” Keith asks.

“We know it is embodied in a girl on Earth. We are going to send one of you to Earth to recruit her.” Alura replies.

“Wait, this recruit is a girl?” Lance gushes, his eyes nearly pop out of their sockets.

“It will be nice to have another girl on the Voltron Team,” Pidge adds.

Coran walks over, “We need someone approachable to meet her and make her feel comfortable.”

“Well, don’t send Keith, send ME!!!” Lance practically screams.

“Actually, we were considering sending Keith to get her,” Shiro explains.

“You have got to be kidding me, since when is Keith approachable?” Lance shouts. He storms off angrily.

“I’ll go,” Keith says blatantly

“Alright then!” Coran rings.

You see a large ship land in the distance.

“Whats that?” you ask to yourself.
