We are gathered here today to remember this plastic bottle. Had it not been removed from the river bank the #CTRiver would not have forgotten it. It's a small bottle, but it is representative of a larger problem. The bottle may have gotten washed further down river, no longer seen at its original site but it would still be there, present in the water way. Over time the beating from the current, rocks it would stumbled upon and the sun's rays may have broken it down a little bit, but it would still be there. A boat propeller have have hit it and shredded it into smaller bits and pieces, but it would still be there. No matter what; fully in tact, broken up, or shredded to bits, it would still be there, for years and years. Thankfully it has moved on, and it is no longer there. #Funeralforabottle #KeepOurRiversClean #CuppiePride #CuppieCleansCT #pickuptrashtoday #litter #litterati #Makeamericalesstrashyagain #makeamericarecycleagain #eulogy #plastic #pollution (at Connecticut River State Wildlife Area)
