WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?

Jesus is an example to me of what love looks like, of what leadership looks like, of what faith looks like.  I really couldn’t be where I am today without Jesus’s guidance, love, everything.  I really don’t know what more to say, you know, it’s just the ultimate love, ultimate sacrifice, ultimate healer, redeemer & just amazingness.  He’s just a perfect gift of love.  

HOW DID YOU BECOME CONVICTED JESUS IS THE REAL DEAL, THAT IS WHO HE SAID HE WAS?

Mmmm, yah there’s, there’s something about the name Jesus.  I grew up in church & I always knew that Jesus was this great person, but sometimes you kind of think that he’s some myth, made up character or something like that. For me the real deal came a few years ago when I was in Baltimore, Maryland & it was an actual, this was the first time I actually, well maybe not the first time, but I had an actual spiritual attack on my life.  And I felt like someone was trying to kill me, in the spiritual realm.  And I know it may sound a little far fetched, or whatever the case may be, but I… I was wide awake, but I felt like the darkness came over me & I felt like my hands being bound & my legs being bound while I was in bed, my mouth being covered.  I felt like I started to suffocate.  And I heard like this voice talking gibberish in my ear & it, it was a crazy experience. And I felt like I couldn’t breath.  And I started to fight for my life & I’m wiggling & I’m going crazy & not even out loud because again I felt like my mouth was being covered, but in my mind I screamed out the name “Jesus”.  And in that instant, everything that I felt was fighting me, vanished.  And the room literally went from dark to light in that moment.  I was gasping for air, I was crying & it was literally like maybe 5, 6 in the morning & I turned over in bed & a thought came into my mind to “call your sister.”  My sister at that time was in Connecticut.  So I called my sister up & I said “hey you’re not gonna believe what happened, I don’t know what I just experienced, but I heard these voices in my head & I felt like somebody was trying to suffocate me, I felt like something crazy.  I explained more to her & she said “Carl, I heard those same exact voices.”  And I said “What?  What happened?”  She said “I felt like I heard somebody, yelling or chanting in my ear & I felt this dark presence in my room.”  And she said “I cast you out in the name of Jesus.”  And everything vanished for her too.  So in the same exact moment, my sister & I heard the same exact voices & we did the same exact thing, we called on the name of Jesus & immediately those voices, the presence, the attacks disappeared. That’s how I know, there is no name, there is nothing greater than the name of Jesus.

WHY DO PEOPLE NEED JESUS?

Oh man!  People need Jesus because you need a good moral example in your life of what to do, what not to do.  There’s a lot of people that are lost & they don’t even know that they’re lost.  Some people just go about their life causin’ harm to people or just existing, you know, but Jesus is who provides a life worth living for you, provides understanding, provides love & guidance as I mentioned before.  You know so this is someone who, if you don’t have Jesus in your life you will think maybe man is the reason why your emotions are the way that they are or other people have the power to change your day, change your mood or whatever the case may be.  But man didn’t give you joy, man can’t take it away.  Jesus is the reason that you’re able to fill your heart with joy, & all the greatness that’s within you can be, can be enhanced if you have Jesus in your life.  

WHAT IS THE ONE THING ABOUT JEUSUS YOU WISH EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD OR KNEW?

Hmmm, I think everyone knows, well I hope that everyone knows that Jesus died for you.  But he died in order to give you life & he died in order for you to understand that love is greater than all things.  Death couldn’t even hold Jesus down & that’s because of the love that was within him.  And one of the key messages, the key phrases, the key things that he was always stressing is that love conquers all.
