James knew he was lost, but didnāt want to admit it. Not really. But it came to the point where he kind of had no choice. He pulled out his mirror, ducking near into one of the nearby alleys. He was supposed to meet up with Sirius, but his wand led him down a part of town that he wasnāt familiar with. Whatever information Dumbledore wanted, apparently led him here.
He held the mirror up and said Siriusā name, his eyes darting around quickly in an attempt to survey his surroundings. When the other man picked up the mirror after a moment James smiled.
āPads,ā He started,Ā āIām sorry, Iām gonna be late, you might have to start the operation without me. I have no fucking clue where I am.ā He received an eye roll in response, one that Sirius knew would have earned him a slap upside the head and would have them both laughing.
They talked for another moment and James could have sworn he heard something.Ā āGotta go, Padfoot, see you later.ā He put the mirror away quickly and looked around, his hand on his wand, ready.
