QUEEN- What is the earliest planned historical event in your WIP?
Ooooh thats a hard one because I'm not entirely sure what they mean by planned historical event. 1. The earliest event within the lore would be the creation of the worlds themselves, the birth of the awakened (humans, giants, tree-tenders, hillfolk, stone folk, etc.), the beginning of the Cycle of Reincarnation, the coming of the first Spiritblood, and the subsequent slaying of the Great Mother Serpent. 2. The earliest event mentioned in detail that was witnessed directly by a character (The Deep Sun a spirit/demon), would be The Great Calamity, in which humans created a technology which allowed them to process magic i.e. life force/souls into energy. The terrifying ecological and magical consequences of that technology, on not only Kobani but in all of the worlds with in the Cycle of Reincarnation, were so severe that the gods themselves were forced to intervene. Civilization was essentially wiped off the face of the planet, ending what people would later know as The Age of Glass and Metal. The main events of the WIP take place thousands of years later, after a new Stone and Bronze age. Traces of magic from the destruction brought on by the technology and by the gods, still lingers in Kobani thousands of years later, creating monsters and the forestfolk. 3. The earliest historically relevant event to take place entirely within the the timeline of the first book, would be the Coup and Usurption of the Throne of Labisa. bit of a long winded answer but there we go!
Tbh rosewick isn’t even that weird in terms of controversial ships, i think it probably would have become very popular if roman was a teenager in canon, since they have a lot of thematic duality and good banter already, they’re a clear option for a rival-type dynamic. Also roman as the arrogant up-and-comer in a massive dangerous gang to mirror ruby as the prodigious weapons-specialist huntress would be a good au, tho. Anyway, keep doing what you’re doing though, love your stuff 🧡
Roman couldn't afford to lose and Ruby couldn't afford to let him win. There was a lot more potential to make them each other's foils. Even if it wasn't romantic.
It's probably why I write so much fanfiction of Roman as a teenager. I adore the concept of the two of them maturing together.

Charlie’s love of math. That look on his face, never gets old. Or Phryne when she’s tell Jack she hopes he wasn’t attached to that pen after Marie(?) takes it. When she just pops it into his pocket in the next scene. Priceless.

That’s hard. Actually no I know, when Jack thinks that Phryne is dead. From the film, I was crying in the cinema. He gets the letter out and her photo- no can’t take about or I’m going to start crying again.

dionysus - are you an extrovert or an introvert?
- introvert! I really love being around my friends and stuff and when I’m alone I’m sometimes lonely and then when I get together with my friends I remember why I like being alone 😂
artemis - what do you first notice about new people?
- Okay well this is going to sound sappy but I stare at people’s eyes. Even before wearing masks was the usual, I was that person who looked so deeply into your eyes you might wonder if I was falling in love with you on the spot. (It’s quite possible I was, but I was mostly memorizing the color and depth of your eyes). I focus a lot on people’s faces. The shape of their brows, their smile, their noses. I’m a fucking simp
ares - what’s a big pet peeve of yours?
- when people interrupt me. I feel like it happens all the time. Sometimes when I talk, I’m quiet and people either don’t care to hear me or just talk over me. If I’m telling a story about something that happened to me, my friend will even talk over me to tell the story for me. Like???
perseus - have you ever been arrested?
- No, but I was fully prepared to be during the BLM protests.
achilles - have you ever had to be hospitalized?
- Yes. Twice!

- Pegasi. You can fully blame Percy Jackson and Blackjack for that one. That and it doesn’t help that I already love horses; now a horse that can fly?? Good god, I’d be set.

3: what motivates you?
What motivates me to write in general is my love of stories - they have an incredible power to move us and make us see ourselves and others in new ways, and that’s always been so magical to me! And then specific to fic, I was first motivated to write because I adore the characters, and I wanted to tell myself stories about them beyond what we see in canon. Now that I share them on ao3, reading comments from other people is motivating too because it reminds me that there are others who love writing and reading about these characters too :)
10: any writing advice?
In general, read EVERYTHING!!!! Reading amazing books teaches you how to write - you’ll absorb the style, and conventions, the voices, and the pacing and meld it into something of your own. Also, it helps me to hold myself to a schedule. When I know that writing time is 11 PM to 2 AM (that’s atrocious, I know, my sleep schedule is wrecked rip), im much less likely to balk and say “...ya know, maybe I’ll reorganize my entire apartment right now instead!!! And perhaps buy a few things I don’t need on amazon!!!” Plus, you end up writing consistently, and practice like that is how you improve!
33: favorite one-shot you’ve written?
Hmm I think it might actually be my fic The Presence of Light, my one-shot about Obi-Wan recovering from the mental/physical whump on his mission to a sith planet (from the book Wild Space). It was the first one I ever posted to ao3 so it has a special place in my heart, and I was kind of proud of how the dialogue in that turned out. Either that one, or Shelter, which is a shamelessly fluffy sickfic lol.
