Time is fake so I’m answering this very late (-glares at other WIP Wednesday questions I haven’t answered-) because I finally wrote a line I like!

“I knew Fitz wasn’t going to kill me, which is more than I can say of some of my Tinder dates,” Jemma muttered.

It’s from a secret project (that honestly isn’t all that secret). :)

This week I was just in a bit of a writing funk, which sucked because I actually had a lot of free time! I think most of it is I have a lot of different projects up and running (like four multichaps I want to finish, Multiamory May stuff coming in, Bobbi Morse Bingo) and I have always been terribly indecisive, so... there’s that.

It's another WIP Wednesday!!! Today, I'm thinking about all the times I've made myself chuckle with a line I wrote! Share a wip quote that made you happy or chuckle, either prose or dialogue!!! 💙💙💙

I’m pretty sure this is like a month old at this point, and I’ve come to the conclusion that I just... never laugh. Ever. My friends promise me I’m funny but I’m beginning to think they’re just lying to me to protect my feelings.

Anyways, this excerpt is the closest I’ve come to making myself laugh with anything I’ve written:

“I know,” Iz answered. When she squeezed Vic’s hand the sweaty skin made a farting sound, and Vic rolled her eyes. They couldn’t even have a goddamn romantic moment without the universe having something to say about it. Well, the universe and the dry heat that still somehow resulted in a whole lot of sweat.

None of the things I’m currently focusing on are “out there” or anything, but I do have one on my write someday list I think is more experimental - it’s going to be non-linear storytelling and I’m still trying to figure out what the best way to do it is (and have been since I came up with the idea like two and a half years ago).
