Uuuhh kayleo just because im not bothering with art

Just a list of things Kaysha and her romance with Leo Hamato in several continuities at least the ones I'm familiar with bc it's so interesting seeing how different I can make them also because Feb.14 is Kaysha's Cake Day!!

87: Kaysha is introduced as a school student who was investigating the sewers because of a monster sighting and was rescued by the turtles. She was surprised to see actual mutants and was going to expose them but Leo persuaded her not to because it would be unfair to their privacy (and they'd tell on her parents for sneaking out lol). Every then she comes by and gradually becomes part if the group giving them better disguises and serves as eyes and ears for any bad guys

Also she and Leo kinda become close friends - not a couple strictly bc the world wasn't ready for monster romance yet

1990s live action: Similar thing except instead of a monster it was the Foot Clan forcefully recruited her siblings and she went on a solo mission to rescue them but was overwhelmed by the amount of members and Leo came to her rescue. She was shocked to see the mutants for the first time and wary of them, but over the trilogy they grew on her

03: In the early episodes she wasn't aware of their identities until maybe the City At War arc; she helped nurse Leo back to health and developed an interest in the ninja lifestyle. It took the rest of the show for her to catch up

Ok NOW the world is ready for monster romance bc here Leo helps keep her focused and grounded while also building her confidence and Kaysha shows him that he can't carry the burden alone and that he has to let someone help him

And during his EMO Saga she actually calls him out on his aggression and that she can't sit by and let him self destruct so she teaches him how to calm down - the same lessons he taught her

Kaysha gets transported to the future and they meet their grandkids - who are actually adopted but still and kaysha learns that she and Leo started their own academy where students from all worlds come to study

Back to the Sewers: dont remember much from this show but she uses actual ki this time and graduated to full blown Ninja

She and Leo do end up as a couple by the end

07: DRAMA!! She and Leo broke up because he left her unannounced for his ✨SPIRITUAL✨ journey. When he came back things were really awkward between them.

It went downhill during the Leo v. Raph duel, she intercepted and admitted to Leo she did know that Raph was the vigilante but said nothing bc the city needed a protector and Leo is hurt by this. They DO make up in the end with the promise of no more keeping secrets from each other

2012: Kaysha is that one friend who looks crazy and weird but is actually super normal and partially bc i am still salty at how they did irma so for the most part she keeps up the team's spirit during their foray in space and she helps Leo with speech therapy.

Rottmnt: Fucking disasters man, especially with the formula switched around now Leo is the goofy one in need of grounding and Kaysha is the serious half in need of pulling a stick outta butt

Leo helps her loosen up, while she begins to admire him for his genuinely heroic actions and charm. He also helps her get acquainted with such a weird colorful dangerous world of underground mutant culture

Meanwhile Kaysha tries to like bring them back to reality and be serious on her mission but can't help but participate bc deep down she's starting to care about them OH!

Deep down ROTTMNT!Kaysha feels weak because she doesn't have mystic powers or a magical connection all she has is a sword

So i imagine her angsting in tbe final battle:

Kaysha: I can't carry thousands of pounds or built mecha or eat ghost peppers. I don't have magic or strength like you. I can't do anything

ROTTMNT!Leo cuts her off by hugging her: "you have the power to make people smile!" yes that is a sailor moon reference shut up!!

And together she and leo hold hands as they run to join the rest of their family OOOH

Other stuff

They'd go for a traditional Japanese wedding when they're older

2012! Leo and Kaysha cosplays as Super Robo Mecha Force Five Page characters (Dash and Princess respectively)

When Leo first trains Kaysha she is kinda touch starved so he does the thing where he stands behind her to help her hold her sword properly, she almost passes out

Kaysha always doodles him whenever she's in (school); one day the brothers except leo find it and tease her about it

They even go wingman for her like DUDE LEO IT'S CLEAR THIS CHICK HAS IT BAD FOR YOU WHY WONT YOU NOTICE???

They do gey annoyed by each other, Leo gets annoyed by her seeming lack of focus as well as occasional moments of vanity and she gets annoyed when he acts all aloof and tries to pressure everyone including himself

Also in 03 and 07 when he gets really frustrated with her he lashed out and said something to make her cry so that ended up putting their relationship in jeopardy

Also Leo is overprotective of her and thinks because she is normal means she can't handle it he doesn't want to sully her innocence but Kaysha has to show that she IS capable of handling tough subjects

Also Kaysha does acts like a ditz or keep secrets because she doesn't want to show that shes weak so there is communication issues

Of course they make amends bc their friendship future romance is worth fighting for but i still want to show they aren't perfect

Besides I'd like to see a flawed couple make it work without shilling adultery or unnecessary love rivals to advance the plot

Because I am a sucker for this trope now Kaysha's swords always matches with Leo's with slight adjustments (mainly floral and bead decorations)

In Rottmnt since Leo has red\pink stripes on him I think it's fitting for Kaysha to wear some type of blue; they're wearing coordinate even before their LOVE CONFESSION aaaaaw!

Leo has a fascination with her hair he is the ONLY ONE allowed to touch (not even Mikey has such rights)

Rottmnt!Kaysha's shape language and designs has hearts incorporated in them

Since Ben Schwartz voiced rottmnt!leo and my HC voice for kaysha is Amber Riley, I also had them be the faceclaims for my Muppets crossfic Muppets Enchanted (where Ben's character plays a Giselle-inspired Prince while Amber's character is the muppets's personal assistant) it's not a celeb/real person shipfic just something funny i came up with bc i love Muppets & the 2000s live action disney movies

Who could forget *grumbles* bayverse (screams)

Kaysha is a blogger and I guess in the 2016 version she goes with the Turtles to fight Shredder and like, Bebop and Rocksteady go all "pwetty woman" and she's all "ew"

Also she and Leo become a couple partly bc I want to show Leo DOES care about other things than just securing a goal and Kaysha assures him that he isn't heartless, that he shouldn't harden himself all the time

I guess she's also played by Amber here I'm sorry but come on I love amber and wishes she was used in more fanfics&even actual movies 😩😩😩😩 tired of zendaya and amandla

All versions of Kaysha know how to sing, in fact one of Leo's favorite things about her is her voice
