Okonomiyaki in Kayashima, Osaka. 大阪は萱島のお好み焼き。
大阪に帰省して食べたい物がたくさんある中、ここ、祖母の住む町萱島の商店街にあるお好み焼き屋『久』は外せない。祖父が生前通い続けたお好み焼き屋の大将は大の野球好き♥ってことで、今回は父のリクエストでヤンキースのキャップを手土産に。お返しにってマジックを披露してくれるお茶目な大将。Among so many food that I need to eat while I visit my family in Osaka, this Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) house named "Hisa" is the must place to eat whenever I visit my grandmother in her town Kayashima. The master of this place that my grandfather used to come for so many years when he was alive, loves baseballs. Upon my father's request, I brought the Yankee's team cap back for the master as a souvenir. He is so charming that he performed few magic shows for us as a return gift.
お好み焼きと言えども、ソバ入りから具材までメニューはより取りみどり。私達一家はいつもお決まりの豚イカ玉。女将さんが種を準備してくれて、大将が焼く。昭和の匂いが漂うお好み焼き屋。何にも特別な事はないこの素朴なお好み焼き。ふわっとかりっと、ただただ美味しいだけ。そして、祖父のお決まりだったソフトクリームを皆で頬張ってお腹いっぱ〜いって店を出るのが原家流。Well You say Okonomiyaki there are so many combination that you can choose from on the menu including noodles and other ingredients. Our family always like the one with pork and squid. Master's wife mixes the ingredients, and he grills them. Such a old school way of operating the restaurant. Nothing special, but it's just simply yummy every time we eat there. It's my family tradition to finish the meal with soft serve just like my grandfather used to do, and we all walk out with happy face with happy stomach.
京阪線は萱島駅東出口、中央商店街にあるこのお好み焼き屋。久。萱島の駅には昔から主の様な守り神の様な楠がホームのど真ん中に立っている。駅を改装工事をした際も、守り続けられ、市民に親しまれているのはもちろん、町を訪れる人たちの心にも与えるものは大きい。なんせ樹齢７００年だそう。趣のある町。萱島。是非お好み焼きを食べに、いらして下さい。Kayashima has a train station along Keihan Line. There is a camphor tree in the middle of the plat form sitting there to protect the town or he owns the town. The city had never cut down it during the refurbishing construction. It's obvious people enjoy the appearance of this tree and so as visitors. The tree is estimated to be 700 year old. You can smell old good days here in Kayashima. Come visit to eat some Okonomiyaki and admire the tree.
