Really nice to take a much needed break from fandom, only to come back to some kind of bullshit. Since when do Jonas’s act like a bunch of entitled bullies? The answer: they don’t. So why then is my very, very dear friend Kat (kattyshack on ao3) —WHO HAS BEEN SUPPLYING THE JONSA FANDOM WITH EXCELLENT AND VERY FREE CONTENT FOR YEARS—being made to feel bad because she found some joy in writing theonsa since the finale?

For those of you who don’t know or even give a shit, Kat has been battling a nasty case of writers block for some time — which can extremely curb your enthusiasm, and when writing doesn’t bring you joy anymore, it only becomes a chore. She deleted a few WIPS that she knew she wasn’t going to finish because she had no idea what direction to take them anymore—not that she owes anyone an explanation—and a bunch of Jonsa’s (on Twitter apparently) are losing their damn minds and acting like she’s deleting all her jonsa fics and will never write jonsa again. Not that I’d fucken blame her now that she had to witness some of the RUDE shit they were saying about her over a SHIP—over a fictional pairing. Who fucken cares if she ships Sansa or Jon with my big fucken toe and wants to write about it if it’s not directly affecting you??? And people are allowed to ship more than one pair. WTF.

Secondly, thank you. with just something... @majicmarker and I really set out to tell an unconventional love story, as well as an unconventional (or perhaps non-traditional) take on the slow-burn. There's no right or wrong way to fall in love, to build a relationship, and so much of it is small moments that most people don't even see. My husband an I will have been together fifteen years tomorrow, and me realizing I was in love with him was this totally innocuous moment where we were in his old shitbox Taurus. We were listening to Rise Against, and "Swing Life Away" came on, and he just reached over and held my hand. I just thought to myself holy shit, I'm gonna marry this dude.
