Apologies if this has been asked before, I can't recall seeing it anywhere; do Kato and Ari know that Chase has been learning how to read? If so, do they know who is helping him? I can't imagine they'd be able to resist the urge to rib him about receiving ~private confidential tutoring lessons~ from his totally-not-crush definitely-completely-platonic-friend lmfao
Hi there, Kato and Ari do indeed catch on that Chase is learning to read (he could hardly hide it from them, though it would be hilarious if he quietly let them go on doing his reports and reading contracts for him and then one day just like casually whipped out an encyclopedia to look something up...) And they do know that he's learning from MC! They're too scared of Chase to outright rib him about his budding romance to MC (he's the type who will laugh along with you about it but then dig up every bit of dirty laundry you've tried to hide from him and make you regret teasing him or even bringing MC up forever...) (and also--neither of them are really the teasing type: Ari doesn't care enough about the romance to rib Chase about it, she just doesn't want it to cause more headaches/clean-up for her if it goes wrong, and Kato is more like Chase's long-suffering little brother, he doesn't really rib Chase the way Pan does Red so much as he endures Chase), but their perceptiveness is why Kato has that very awkward interaction with MC during one of Chase's days off, and even why Ari chose to warn them if you do the heist with the Thieves Guild! She was picking up the vibe even back then! XD
