My Top 10 Favorite Video Games of All Time!
1. Super Mario World on SNES: You can never go wrong with some Mario. Especially this genius game! There are hours of play time and replay value! it just never EVER gets old. I love the hidden worlds (Star World, Special World, and the Hidden Islands) and the variety of Yoshi’s! Those little touches make this game AMAZING and the best game of all time in my opinion! All Mario games are pretty awesome!
2. Age of Empires: I played them through the 3rd generation. I would love to get my hands on this game again. I spent a good majority of my childhood gathering massive armies and establishing awesome cities with a maze of walls surrounding it! There were endless possibilities when it came to how your empire would rise above them ALL!!! *Que evil laugh*
3. The Sims: Of course The Sims makes this list. I remember while playing Sim City, commenting that it would be cool to be able to control the people. They listened and delivered an amazing concept for a game! You literally live in an alternate world with the lives of others in your hands! The game has come a long way since the original. I have played them all and have dedicated many many hours to it! I am not sure if I should be proud of that haha.
4. Minecraft (Xbox & PC): Who knew that a world of blocks and so-so graphics would be such a hit! Being a creative person, this game is just AMAZING! I play mostly on Xbox but play on PC as well. PC is way better given the fact that the worlds are infinite and there are way more possibilities. But I have no friends that play on PC and that makes me lonely and sad sometimes :( I enjoy collaborating with friends on a Minecraft project and frolicing through caves together gathering a plethora of Diamond and ruling the world! Therefor, I currently play mostly on Xbox but will appear on PC every once in awhile!
5. Call of Duty: World at War: I put this one on here, minus the others in the series because this was the first Call of Duty I played, and it will always be my favorite. It was simplistic and NOT over powered with kill streaks and perks in addition to a countless number of weapon attachments (Like the stupid heartbeat sensor)! Sure the tanks were a headache and Juggernaut was unnecessary but it was overall a great game. I get sad when I try to play now because of all the MODS but i still try to play a normal game every once in awhile. I will not list another COD game on here but my next favorite would be COD 4 and then the first Black Ops. (I despise the Modern Warfare 2 and 3 with a passion, just saying)
6. World of Warcraft: I am brand new to WOW otherwise I believe it would be much higher on my list! I started playing last year, took a break and then returned with a large group of friends including my Boyfriend! My main is a level 90 Feral Troll Druid! I love everything about this game and all that it has to offer! I complain about the cost all the time, but at the end of the day, the play value makes it ALL worth it!
7. Alice: Madness Returns: I have always been a fan of anything that involves Wonderland (As you saw from my Mad Hatter Cosplay). Lewis Carroll is a genius and everything about this story is just awesome! So of course, a video game about it is going to make my list! It is a gorgeous game and full of fantasy and imagination! I played a little bit of the original one but never finished. I am referring to the newer version here. I have a Cosplay idea in mind because of this game! It is just AWESOME!
8. Skyrim: This game is most likely one of the best games of ALL time! I will be completely honest and say that I never played any of the Elder Scrolls prior to this. I went out and got a copy of Oblivion because I loved Skyrim so much! I need to enhance my knowledge on the world of Bathesda. Skyrim did not disappoint. How could it? Dragons, Werewolves, Vampires, awesome armor and weapons, professions, endless quests and stories of epicness...It is just an all around awesome game!
9. Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City: I did not divide these up because I think they are equally awesome games. I just recently played both of these, thanks to my friend Travis who introduced me to them. I enjoyed Asylum the most. I thought it was a much darker creepier atmosphere, which for some reason I enjoyed haha. Scarecrow was by far my favorite parts, along with Mr. Freeze! Arkham City was great also. Fantastic games! I cannot wait for Arkham Origins to be released!
10. Battlefield 3: I love this game. I think it would surpass COD on my list, if I played it more. I am new to the Battlefield series. Frankly, I am sorta fed up with COD and wanted to try something new so I have started to gravitate toward Battlefield. I enjoy a face paced, close quarter game style and Battlefield is the complete opposite with massive maps and spread out squads. The kill time is much longer. Which is why I took so long to give it a shot. But after playing, I found that Battlefield requires way more skill than COD, simply because you do not have all of those extras (Like Kill Streaks) to help. The vehicles, building destruction, and pure mechanics of the game make Battlefield way more realistic than COD. It is one of my favorite games because of the pure design of it! I have Battlefield 4 on pre-order.... I cannot add it to the top of my list until I become more knowledgeable and understand it a bit more but it is just AWESOME!

So there you have it, my favorite games to play. I am not saying that these are the greatest games of all time. They are just my personal picks as favorites. I could have continued on and on and on! Otherwise Legends of Zelda and Star Fox would have made it on my list. I played them, I loved them, but they were not the games that I spent hours and hours on (Which I wish I would have.) I do not deserve to add them to my list when my knowledge on them is limited....
