omg, i'm so sorry that i didn't see your message from before! i took a break from writing for a while and only posted fics when i felt really good about a plot or had a burst of inspiration, and it's been a while since i committed to checking out my blog.

since i'm on the topic, i'm just going to say everything here. for a while now, i've been feeling unmotivated to write. i've been really busy outside of tumblr and it's been taking up a bunch of my time. also, i hate to say it, but i've been insecure about my writing and have been posting works i'm unhappy with simply because i don't want to keep ghosting you guys. it's been frustrating.

so, long answer short, i'm not sure if i'm going to be updating the imperfect series, or when i would do so. i know it's probably not the answer a lot of you guys were hoping for (it's not even really an answer at all). i hope you guys can understand, being that writing takes a lot out of someone if they aren't passionate about the piece.

but i really do like the series! i think my problem is that i'm in love with the world i created, but i have regrets on how i structured the plot and how i shaped some of my characters. it's frustrating to continue writing it when it's not exactly how i want it to be.

So, I was talking with my friend Heather (aka @hdlynnslibrary) about why this new episode got me so excited and she suggested that I share my thoughts! A little background on me: I’m hard of hearing, legally deaf in one ear, and I do use sign language with my Deaf friends and people close to me in my life. I also lipread to get an understanding of the world I live in.

I was EXTREMELY impressed with Pedro’s acting in this episode. In American Sign Language, nonverbal cues are extremely important. It’s used the way punctuation and tone of voice is used, in a way. To get your point across, you NEED facial expressions. I’ve been told that my thoughts easily run across my face because I don’t hide them. For one of my languages, I can’t hide them, so it’s just habit to have it written all over my face.

i just went through a really painful break up. sounds silly when i type it out and share it like this, but i've been trying to heal. and writing the sad, angsty shit i love, it makes it all so much harder.

that's all i really want to say about that. it still hurts. but i'm back and i'm writing and i hope you're all not bored of me. i realized i need to go back to writing, to the things i truly enjoy, hoping it'll make things easier.

I LOVE THIS QUESTION. sorry if i'm about to ramble but i'm kind of long winded haha.

so i had been planning and creating the general world of Neocity and the 23 cities for a while before i even knew who was going to be the main character. i knew i wanted it to be an nct fic, i knew i wanted all the members to be included, but yes, i was totally like um... do i choose him? or maybe him? no, it should be him.

eventually i think i narrowed it down to jeno, jaehyun, haechan, johnny, and lucas. in the end, obviously i chose haechan. i couldn't even really tell you why, though. i did actually lean towards jeno in the beginning, i even wrote some of chapter 1 with his name, but then i tried switching it to haechan and i liked it better. i liked the idea of the difference between his past self, donghyuck, and his rebel self, haechan.
