“What?” Eddie blinked his eyes wide open, staring straight into dark brown eyes right in front of him and he startled back again before he remembered. Deep breath. He did just that but it didn’t seem to help the pounding over his heart and he patted himself, trying to locate his inhaler that was normally at home in his left pocket. The item wasn’t there. 

When he looks back up, the world’s shifted again, this time the memory isn’t sending chills down his spine, but it’s confusing him on how he managed to ever forget. He’s smiling, laughing, no older that thirteen and running with a bunch of rag-tag kids his own age. 

𝑮𝑹𝑶𝑾   𝑻𝑯𝑬   𝑯𝑬𝑳𝑳   𝑼𝑷     !             disappointing   eddie   was   frightening   ,    the   fear   of   being   sent   away   because   of   the   way   he   was   acting  held   mind   hostage    ,    unable   to   think   logically   about   anything   .     fingertips   move   through   his   hair   ,    eyes   squeezing   shut   for   a   second    .      hands   flex   at   his   side     &     an   inhale   of   breath   is   taken   ,    head   tilting   back  .     ❝  i’m   not   acting   like   a   baby   !    you   keep   treating   me   like   one   ,    but   i’m   not    !    ❞      stomach   churns   ,    guilt    &    remorse   fill   his   lungs   .      𝐡𝐢𝐬   𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞   𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬   ,    still   barely   audible   over   eddie’s   own    ,    or   the   sound   of   the   television .    ❝  it   isn’t   fair   !    you   aren’t   being   fair  .  ❞  

       he GIGGLES, finger tracing the rim of his glass lazily as he glances over at eddie.  he loved this, the nights of just the two of them.  the bar had closed a while ago, but drew didn’t mind staying behind, especially with the company that he had.  he sends a small smirk towards the others direction, head tilting to the side slightly.

JASON JUST GIGGLES EVEN MORE WHEN HE GETS SMACKED in the head, hand shifting to gently rub it “-come on it wasn’t that shitty of a joke you gotta admit that, dude. ” still he moves to hold out eddie’s hand, pulling him closer slightly “-don’t be mad.”

WELL THIS IS. THIS IS SOMETHING. he takes a breath, it’s not just eddie kaspbrak that somehow manages to intimidate steve but rather MOSTLY EVERYONE IN HIS CLASS. and he’s getting better. just. HE WISHES HE COULD KINDA AVOID everything. and everyone-but you know it’s with courage he then takes a breath “-hey, so-” he clears his throat “-someone got us mixed up, they...kinda gave me this-” he holds out a notebook that clearly belongs to eddie, he chuckles “-before i could say anything, poof they dissappeared, crazy right? figured i’d give it to you. ”
