Korean women have long been regarded as having immaculate skin, so itâs only natural we turn to them for skincare tips. According to Charlotte Cho, founder of Korean beauty retailer of Soko Glam, âskincare is like a culture in Korea.â Here are her skincare tips.
//Double cleanse - to thoroughly remove all impurities and makeup
To thoroughly remove the dayâs makeup and impurities, Korean women prescribe to the double-cleanse policy. First, cleanse with an oil cleanser, like Kari Granâs Cleansing Oil to gently remove makeup without stripping skinâs natural oils. Second, follow with a foam or gel cleanser like BRAD Universal Cleansing Gel.
//Use a toner containing no alcohol
Toning is an essential step in the Korean skincare routine. Along with removing any impurities, toners also help restore your skinâs pH balance. Also, according to Charlotte, âit preps your skin to better absorb what comes next.â For an alcohol-free toner, try Kari Granâs Hydrating Tonic or BRAD Anti Fatigue Mist
//Use a serum to target specific skin concerns
Serums are typically super-concentrated and address specific concerns, such as fine lines and sunspots, with a lightweight consistency. Try Kari Granâs Essential Serum, a super potent blend of 15 plant and essential oils. For dull, uneven skin try Brad Essential Elixir packed with alpha and beta hydroxy acids and for maximum hydration try Brad Essential Elixir Hydrating with haluronic acid and green tea!
To really lock in hydration, follow with a moisturizer and then a face cream. To Koreans, the more you layer, the more hydrated youâll be.
