How are RA, and thier semi immunity, formed? Does a student come in, preparing for a different major, but through behaviors, and maybe a few favors and Favor, end up staying as an RA instead due to how the Fae and mortals end up more willing to work with them? Or is it an unexpected thing, and they are approached by another RA, or a Fae who deals in such, and are sponsored by both realms?
Like many other similar schools, itās upon interested students to apply to become an RA. Unlike many other schools, the chosen RAs are taken off campus and, on real ground, given a very thorough run-through of Elsewhere Uās particular hazards. For some of them, itās already known. For others, itās eye-opening. But all of them are there because theyāve got a real interest in keeping students safe.
The diplomatic immunity is an ongoing arrangement in place for anyone made officially an RA by Elsewhere officials. In addition to their own single dorm, RAs are given an iron talisman (sized perfectly for either a keychain or a necklace) stamped with a half-moon - a sign the Gentry recognise as meaning someone who walks a between-path. Changelings receive a similar mark on their newly-issued student cards.
