old versus new = Schwabenland Style = pokemon red and green Against black and White

Starters = Chonkier and more basic gen one while gen five = much more michale bay esque detailed
Mechanics = one has abilities and move targeting and dark and steel types while the other does not instead making up for with simplification
Graphics = pixelated and monochrome while the other generation is moving all over the place literally and has 16 bit coloration!
overall Gameplay = free or enslaved genreation five says while the other generation says gotta catch em all or better yet catch em if you can beta testers!
Bosses = literally a rocky start with gen one while gen five wants you to master all three basic starters
Superbosses = you can choose the custom route of the elite four wiht gen five but with gen one you have to be very careful
Music = in gen five battle = close enocunters style music while gen one = you might imagine rocking out to a 1980s hairband soudntrack
ultra bosses = gen five = against ghetsis and or kyurem while gen one = against gary and even better in japan only against prof oak
