He should be meeting with some business partners for lunch, but considering how those snobs just waste his time, Bruce gave himself leeway to be here instead, at the Daily Planet. He does have to keep up appearances as the air-headed wastrel held up by nothing except the sheer volume of his fortune anyways.

“Perry!” He beams with an apparent giddiness and he swaggers in. “I’ve been hearing good things about this place recently! How’re my two favourite reporters?” Wolfishly his eyes then darted exactly to the spot where he expected one particular mild mannered reporter to be ducking for cover. Time for some payback.

“Hey hey hey Superman!” Gongyi waved excitedly when he caught sight of the red and blue clad figure streaking across the sky above. “Down here!” He hadn’t seeen the beaming superhero since that flood in Changsa so he was really excited to show the kryptonian his progress. That and yay, a familiar face!

Monitor duty generally consisted of four things: actual monitoring, reviewing case files for his own city, running a scanning algorithm to make sure the previous shift actually did their jobs, and unfortunately, keeping whatever superpowered colleague on with him that day halfways entertained so that they’d focus and leave him to accomplish the other three. Today that super someone happened to be Clark, a notch above Barry and Hal but sadly still not Diana. Bruce keeps his eyes on the screens and inwardly trying to pleads for the silence to last for more than twenties minutes this time.

“Well...yes,” Loki murmured, frowning deeply as he tilted his head ever so slightly. His grip on the blade loosened as he shifted it in his hand and took several steps forward.

“As much as I love kicking butt with them, my favourite moments are when we get a night off and order a pizza, then just play games all night. Video games, board games, it always ends up being fun no matter what.”
