#kamui fluff

the guy was a creep, you didn't care what happened to him. greeting you with slimy words and feather-like touches that burned every crevice of your being. no clearly wasn't a word he listened to.

"c'mon, cutie, we can-"

his wrist is snatched as it hovers in the air, ready to land on your own. the boy near you jingles as he slides up beside you, the chains on his face mask silencing the disgust you felt. "i've heard the answer to that all night. it's a no."

the man clicks his tongue, ripping his arm from the boy, ready to swing it. he's quickly knocked out, though, eyes rolling to the back of his head as he falls to the ground.

the boy lets out a huff, shaking his hand. "what a jerk."

before he can leave, he comes to a stop. your hand is clutching the bottom of his sleeve. he turns- and absolutely melts at the starry, doe-eyed way you look at him.

"thank you," your voice is so quiet ; gentle. kamui gulps, averting his eyes quickly to the floor. you tug on his sleeve again, "how can i repay you?"

he shakes his head, "you don't need to."

"i want to," you correct him. you inch closer, still holding onto his sleeve tightly. "want me to buy you a drink? your favorite snack?"

his eyes scrunch, indicating that he was grinning under his mask. your eyes drop down to where his lips would be, imagining how they'd look. you snap your gaze back up, "it was brave of you to step in when you did. and kind."

kamui lets his hand drop to yours, pulling it from his sleeve in order to hold it correctly. "let me see you again," he says, "that's how you can thank me."

slowly, you lift your free hand to his nose. he grants you permission, bending his face closer to you. you begin taking kamui’s mask off of him gently, devouring every inch of his face you can now see.

"okay," you grin, "name the time and place."

mission after mission, kamui continued to become the sunshine of your team - you couldn't help but smile at him every time he starts talking and he couldn't help but continue to talk whenever you do, even if kamui was always talkative - he was more talkative now and that annoyed Lee to the metal but seeing you enjoying yourself with kamui's blabbers, he could not do anything.

it was like having a puppy around, kamui would look serious when you saw him afar but when his eyes lands on your figure, the shine in his eyes could be seen miles away and you would be lying if you didn't imagine a wagging tail behind him as he sprint towards you.

it was one of those days where you and your team had been given rest and kamui came looking for you, telling you about his morning and how strike hawk was also given a chance to rest after the continuous missions. he then talked about this new video game he saw, wanting to try it with you, you asked what game it was and he started avoiding your eyes.

"it's .. hm .. how do i say it? its a romance game .." you stared at kamui in disbelief, romance game with you? is he that comfortable with you or something else? kamui had bit lit lip and looked at you confidently, "i want to play romance games with you." he said and you continued to stare at him and due to your gaze was when he started blabbering and making up excuses with his face slowly beaming with a reddish hue, your eyes softened at him and kamui froze on his stop when he felt you held on his shoulders and lift yourself up slightly and he quickly closed his eyes and when he felt your lips on his, he was almost certain there was something wrong with his heat circulating system. when you pulled away, his eyes were still closed and you admired his features while waiting for him to open his eyes again. you smiled as you continued to admire him and somehow it felt illegal to do this in the middle of the corridor but the two of you were there with a lingering kiss. kamui slowly opened his eyelids and was now the one staring at you as if captivated by you but he was always been, then and now. the very short linger of your lips made a mark on his own and without yours lips on his felt like there was something missing. "I'll play the romance game with you. i'm free now, how about you?" you broke the silence and kamui tried to talk but to him, it was gibberish. what was he saying? before he could continue to go on and talk about nonsense nonstop, he press a hand on his mouth and slowly said, "I'm free now too, i'll wait for you at my room?" you smiled brightly, "sure! see you," and you started going to where your room was, kamui stayed there on his spot - the heat was not leaving his metal body.
