sleep (and cuddle) headcanons (ahem ramble ahem) for Kamui...... I've been thinking about this for a good while now, probably eversince aeternion was released 😭 I'm mostly just gonna yap about it, and that's about it btw
no pronouns used for the reader (besides 2nd person), nor are they the skk
Would it be wrong for me to say Kamui is a cuddlebug? Nah, not at all.
This man LIVES to sleep in your arms, he yearns to be held by you, or rather to hold you.
Life, for some reason, never allows him to cuddle you properly, without fearing he'll hurt you on accident. For example, in his old frames, Kamui's inver-device was basically a lethal weapon. If he wasn't careful, he could accidentally stab you! Now, with his new frame, he's afraid you'll hurt yourself on the mechanical parts of the frame.
This doesn't stop him from cuddling with you. He WILL roll your torso and arms in a blanket like a sushi just to hold you close.
Prepare to NOT be able to get up until he decides to. This applies to all frames, especially Aeternion, you won't be able to leave the blanket for a good while.
Speaking of which, despite all odds, he's a light sleeper, he'll wake up from your movements if you're not careful. Of course, he chooses to ignore you when you actually try to wake him up, but he will open one eye to look at you when you wake him up... before he goes back to sleep.
Kamui will ALWAYS plop himself on top of you. No matter what position you sleep in, he will always find a way to lay on top of you.
He would be the worst person to sleep with during summer, specifically his Aeternion frame, since it practically radiates warmth. You have to push him away due to how hot it gets, but it doesn't stop him. Since I'm bringing up how warm he is, might aswell add on that he is absolutely amazing during winter... until it gets TOO warm from the blanket he's rolled you in.
He also doesn't snore, he doesn't even make a sound or move when he's sleeping. Which is surprising for someone as loud as him during the day.

can i request kamui and sougo with a reader who’s completely whipped for them?
i love your content❣️
Kamui:
-He walks you like a dog, but at least you are willing, so the collar usually doesn’t choke you when he pulls the leash around.
-Abuto often begs you for mental checks, as he can’t comprehend how you can agree on the captain's every decision, but…the weight on his back is greatly relieved, maybe you shouldn’t be checked at all-
-Kamui does notice, that’s why he loves pushing your limits over and over, not scared of reaching the breaking point, if anything, wanting to witness it with every fiber of his body.
-He may get bored after a while, he loves fighting after all, with no fire comes no excitement…
-The real challenge starts now! “Love is a rebellious bird no one can tame…” and Kamui isn’t much different!
Sougo Okita:
-Another leash man…
-The Shinsegumi is deeply worried about you at first.
-But then they start to notice little changes about the young policeman. How soft his eyes get when he glances at you, how often he goes out to eat.
“It’s to avoid looking at your ugly mugs.” There is truth in his words, but it remains a lie when the only reason he visits that dessert shop, which he hates, is clearly you.
-With time, the tight hold he has on the leash loosens up. Someone hinted that love can soften even the hardest S. They got bazooked.
Summary: Three times Kamui tried to deal with his feelings, and one time he finally lets them out.
tags: based on his journal of promise, so there’ll be spoilers, reader is skk / commandant, kiss kiss kiss, gender neutral reader

1. Can Constructs get heart attacks?
If Kamui could blow himself up with a self detonation switch installed in his frame from the dark market, he would press the button as hard as he can, right now.
You had just finished teaching him how to use a hoe, and no matter how hard he closes his eyes or looks at Jerome and Bernie whacking each other with bags of fertilizer only to be scolded by Luke to distract himself, he still feels your gloved hand on his waist, your voice tickling the side of his ears, you smiling, just for him, and oh my god, his heat circulation system is overloading. You excuse yourself to check out a nearby patch of land to start cultivating it, and now he is left frozen and stiff.
When did he start feeling like this? Was it when you first came to this broken-down eco dome, stared at him with the most heartbroken gaze he has ever seen in all his 19 years of living before turning into a construct, after hearing Asimov’s diagnosis about him? or was it when the butler robot gave you both keys to a master bedroom with one bed? He does not know, he does not know and he is absolutely mortified.
And when the rest of you get called in front of a storage place by the butler robot after finishing its request, he sees you smile at the rest of the refugees, and there's that aching feeling in his chest when he sees you flash that grin. Your smile carries that expression of exhaustion from 3 hours of manual labour, yet there are too many people around you, and he wants to run, run, run to your aid like a prince, but the soles of his feet are frozen in place, and he starts to blame it all on Asimov. There are a million excuses going through his mind as to why he does not want to move, but when you finally stop talking to the rest of the refugees and come near him, he’s all cool and collected once again.
When Jerome grins ear-to-ear after hearing his situation, he blurts out something about him being jealous. Jealous? him? He starts to feel flustered once again, telling Jerome to lay it off, and he leaves you trying to piece together what that little twerp meant by him being jealous.
2. Lets analyze our facts
It doesn’t take you that long to figure out what Jerome meant.
There is a mental checklist made in your head before you head to sleep that very day. You think back to what exactly you could have done to make the poor guy jealous, and you ultimately pinpoint it down. You’ve known the guy for years— he was like an honorary member for Gray Raven after all, always barging into your lounge, scaring Liv, leaving Lucia amused, and annoying Lee.
Your drowsiness drowns out any other memory call-backs from the past and before you drift to sleep, you remember one crucial point. He's the type of guy to treasure your smile like it's his first born.
‘Wait, wait, wait.’ you pause all the thoughts inside your head, analyzing everything, before bursting into laughter, and poor Kamui, who was only starting to cozy up beside you, is left absolutely bewildered. ‘Was he jealous because I was smiling and talking to other people other than him?’
3. Yeah, they definitely can.
When you open your eyes, you are greeted with the sight of Kamui stretching his newly built frame. Your eyes linger at the sun seeping into your shared master bedroom, framing his face in such a beautiful manner. He stretches his back and finally looks at you, and wow, you sure hope you don't have any bedhead right now.
“G’morning,’ you say, yawning and pushing down the comfortable blanket that had survived years in pristine condition. “Looks like your up early.”
Kamui smiles enthusiastically, which is uncharacteristically strange, a clear contrast to how he was acting during the few weeks you were at this eco-dome. It doesn’t take three centuries for you to realize that something had probably happened in that master control room both of you had urgently ran to after the eco-dome lost power when a strong thunderstorm hit. You know this guy. He knows you. And you know that— that smile is a sign that Kamui is back.
“Yup!” Kamui speaks up, positively giddy. “I woke up early and decided to stretch. Did ya sleep well, commandant?”
“It was adequate.” you say, waving your hand around, trying to imitate Vanessa in your F.O.S college days when someone asks her if the food inside the cafeteria was good enough to line up early for, and kamui practically has to stop himself from bursting into laughter out loud.
“Since when did you get so fancy-shmancy, commandant?”
You get up and stretch as well, before standing beside him, shoulder to shoulder, all the while reaching out to pull at his cheeks. “I don’t know,” you chuckle, before pulling harder. “Maybe. It was. Because of all the times. I. talked. to. Chrome.”
Kamui laughs loudly, a sound that’s like pure melody to your ears, something that rivals Selena’s voice— that rivals Watanabe’s guitar playing, before he exaggerates his movements and mumbles something about “Ow, ow, ow, comm-an-dant! You're pulling tew hard! Let mway cheeks go— oh, hab mercy!” and you find yourself laughing out loud as well, and it makes you indulge yourself more and more in this domestic fantasy that the two of you had built together with the help of that butler robot.
X. Something in between the boundaries of being “special” and being “love”
When the both of you finish your heartfelt talk on the top of the rooftop, the banquet is still in full swing. Kamui takes the initiative to excuse the both of you so that you can return back to your room to rest, and he tries his best to ignore Luke’s smug face before the both of you eventually retreat back to your quarters you’ve spent the past few 5 days in.
F.O.S college teaches commandants not to get too attached to one place. The punishing virus can take something easily, even if you’ve spent decades with it. But when you figure out that the both of you are leaving back tomorrow, and it's back to Babylonia, you can’t help but feel disappointed, and it's clear that Kamui does as well. When the both of you return back to your master bedroom, you practically collapse on the soft-cushiony bed, and it feels so right for you to sleep on the spot, but you are the Gray raven commandant, and it would take more than sleep to overcome you.
There's a tinge of silence between the two of you, and after Kamui sits on the side of the bed as well, you meet his eyes, and in it, you see the same expression Kamui always wears whenever he looks at something he really, really, really wants.
You burst out laughing out loud.
Kamui is left half confused, half bewildered.
“Jeez, you're laughing out of nowhere for no reason again, Commandant!” he grins like he’s the sun reincarnated, and moves his frame closer to you.
“Sorry, sorry,” you splurge, before speaking once again. “I just figured out something important.”
Kamui tilts his head. You tilt yours back in response. He pouts.
“What did you figure out?” He asks, bringing your face closer to his. “Come on, come on, commandant, tell me!”
The both of you bicker, and it ends up with Kamui on top of you, his eyes staring at you with a mixture of ‘Oh my god,’ and a tinge of ‘Captain is gonna kill me.’
You smile, because frankly, that is the only thing you’ve ever known how to do when Kamui is around, and you reach out your arms to cup his cheeks.
“I just figured out,” you breathe out, and he feels all the feelings inside his chest flutter out the window. “That you’re quite a lover boy yourself.”
You never lost much time observing the captain, even less while he trained, as you swear you are allergic to any kind of physical activity that isn’t jumping into the arms of a prince of a foreign planet.
It’s truly a coincidence you find yourself in the training grounds, books and notes sprawled on a bench, while the yatos train themselves. They decided to train outside, as they could breathe normally there, and no wild beast could attack them, and you decided to join them, as the moldy air clogging the ship was starting to grow in your brain too.
You didn’t give much attention to the men's groans, but gladly took a break to help them with bandages and to clean their wounds in case the sparring session got too intense.
“Join us!” One of them screamed at you, obviously joking, as even one of their flicks could send you into a deep coma.
“Do I look like a mirror? I’m not as stupid as you!” The yatos barked a laugh, before going back to training, the star lighting the planet warm, but not enough to damage their skin.
But warm enough to make you all sweat like pigs. Even you, sitting on a bench, shadowed by an alien plant, are sweating bullets. So you can’t help but glance at the yatos, still completely dressed as they train when you feel your shirt sticking obnoxiously to your skin or when, with the back of your hand, you try to dry the sweat droplets running down your forehead.
Then you notice a familiar shadow over you; it’s Abuto.
“Let’s undress, the heat is overbearing, Captain!” He wails, already hoping to sound pitiful enough to convince the captain’s thick, concrete-hard head to listen to his advice.
“What does the little doctor say?” You hear him chirp, his focus still on the sparring.
“I’ve been asking myself how you could keep going with this heat, fully dressed and without drinking. I think you should listen to Abuto.” You state, being gifted by a shoulder pat from the blonde yato after your words, already unbuttoning his uniform.
You don’t blush at their boldness; trained soldiers undressing in front of you with no care. Some remove only the changshan, others hike their trousers so high they look like they’re wearing oversized boxers.
It wasn’t anything so interesting to watch, and out of habit, your sight slips back on your book.
But then the fatal mistake, searching absentmindedly with the corner of your eyes for Kamui.
Why fatal? Because your eyes would be stuck to his body like a fly on a honey trap.
You look at his back, scars of various dimensions littering his skin. It’s a constellation of old wounds that has no intrinsic romance, only tales as old as the owner that stimulate your curiosity.
And your own shame, as you recognize the fresh scar on his side, the one Kamui’s got by defending you from the claws of that prince who saw you more as an appetizing dish rather than a possible princess.
You sigh; this time too, your charm has landed you in the arms of a true villain rather than those of a decent, if possible handsome, man.
Kamui doesn’t seem to notice how your eyes are glued on him, not even when he turns around, his braid flying around with the deliberate charm only a model could have instead of that of a blood thirsty alien.
Sweat droplets run down his jaw, following the pulse line before disappearing on the skin of his chest. It’s rare to see him so raw; to be honest, you probably did when using new bandages to patch old and new wounds down his body.
But now, with no emergency, your eyes can’t just stop absorbing the sight in front of you. There is a small scar, near Kamui’s heart, round and rooted, probably due to a bullet, then another one, on his left pectoral, long and thin, slowly disappearing as it’s fully healed.
Then there is the big, round, imperfect pale scar just near his abs. “I got impaled by an iron tube after an explosion, nothing to worry about.” He said with his usual cheerfulness, after you asked him about it. He didn’t even give you the time to ask for more explanations at the time, because he was already walking away, probably ready to bother Abuto about the training they both don’t need.
You don’t even notice how you licked your lips, as if looking at the man a few metres away from you suddenly made you crave something you still don’t know the name of.
His blue eyes catch yours, but he doesn’t call you out, already back to train kicks with one of his soldiers. But you notice how his eyes linger on you one second too much, how the corners of his lips twitch when he notices your probably dumb looking face.
Maybe you are going crazy. A few months ago, you could barely stand each other; now your mind builds delusions over a twitch of lips you probably imagined.
Your head snaps back to the book you should be studying, instead of making fantasies over the copper-haired yato.
But you cannot. Reading the same phrase over and over, but never getting it memorized. Your traitorous brain keeps showing you images of the captain, of his skin, forged by years of training, of his hands, able to create and, most importantly, to destroy, and then you finally find a name for the feeling of before.
It’s need that you feel for him. Longing.
“Difficult to concentrate, mh?”
You gasp, but you are more than sure, it’s for the discovery, rather than for the voice of the blonde yato sitting next to you.
“Yeah, I needed fresh air, but it’s way too warm here. Maybe I should go back to the ship.” You trail off, but a raspy laugh shakes your body.
“And lose the occasion to keep ogling our captain?”
Your heart skips a beat, your breath catches in your throat, the sensation like an arrow piercing straight through your chest.
“I didn’t take you for that type of human, but I guess we are all wolves inside.” Abuto whispers, so close to your ear, voice full of mirth and with a hint of malice. You don’t act surprised, you don’t even have the force to snap back, still stunned by his sharp deduction.
“What is going on?” It’s the cheerful voice of Kamui that snaps both of you back to reality.
You never appreciated how he always hovered like a vulture around you, always waiting for a moment to strike, to pick up a signal to intervene and get your attention, just to later torture you, always keeping you on the edge, like a cat with a rat.
This time tho, Kamui served you the best escape route.
“Abuto was telling me your strikes are not as good as before.” You quip back. You feel the blonde yato behind you choke on his own saliva, and with the corner of your eyes, you notice how he waves back to his captain, as if he’d ever listen to his vice words. “That he loves when you have your head in the clouds because he can take it easy.” You go on mercilessly. Soon, one hand of Abuto’s tries to go for your mouth, trying to silence you, but you keep pushing, desperate to escape from this situation. “And that I’m probably distracting you? So I think I’ll follow his advice and return to the ship. It’s also hard to study under this heat.” You are already on your feet, walking- no, better, sprinting away from both of them.
Your sacrifice will be remembered Abuto, you think, knowing perfectly the yato will be reduced to ground meat by the captain after what you said.
No amount of paperwork or “house” chores will be enough to gain his forgiveness this time. If he lives to see the next day, you think, a chill runs down your spine at the thought.
You slam the door of your room closed. Clutching your book close to your chest, the strength in your grip is enough to ruin the cover.
Because while your brain was overthinking your words, why not do it over Kamui’s face? Was Kamui blushing when you hinted you were the cause of his less intense training? Probably it was just the heat added to the workout. You have to admit that the blush adorning his cheeks made him really cute. Oh, to be able to kiss them, leave little bites on them, to make him gasp under-
You throw yourself on the bed. Head smashed on the pillow, shame engulfing your body.
Your behavior has been a bit strange over the past few weeks. Most of the yatos didn’t care; they all had better stuff to work on, and even worse, if their captain caught their eyes lingering a second too long for his standards on you, the punishment would not be worth the curiosity.
Only Abuto caught something on, the calendar in his office showing a little red heart in the corner of the 14th. Probably you are grieving, suffering from loneliness as he bet you did all your life, as you’ll have to spend it alone this year too.
The blonde man smirks, forefinger scratching the ungroomed bear right under his chin. If only that idiot of a captain took the courage with his two dangerous hands and dared to ask you out, instead of dancing around you like annoying mosquitoes that, at every failed attempt, end up taking blood in... creative ways from others.
“So, guys, since we are all without a date today-” The infamous day you asked for all to come in the kitchen. “I cooked cookies for everybody! This way we can all celebrate.” You smile, the joy shining through the darkened hearts of all the soldiers. Abuto looks around, searching for Kamui, trying to detect his reaction, but he doesn’t even seem to be here.
You smile at everybody while handing the transparent bag with heart-shaped cookies inside. You chit-chat with every man, and Abuto gets reminded why you could easily fit in a ship full of aliens...pirate aliens without a single scratch on you.
“And the captain? You got nothing for him?” The blonde asks when it’s finally his turn.
“I got a nice surprise for him.” Your smile doesn’t leave doubts; you have a plan in your mind. Abuto just hopes it won’t leave you choking in space and with a more bloodthirsty than usual bunny.
“It’s my turn now.” Abuto jumps at Kamui’s voice. The man standing behind him, his usual, dangerous smile gracing his face, skin sweaty as he probably just interrupted his training.
The blonde runs away, trying and failing to look nonchalant, hiding behind the first available wall with his ear perked up to catch every sound.
“Yes, Kamui. Here's your bag.” Your voice is soft, but Kamui doesn’t take your gift.
“Only this for the captain who decided to spare your life and take you to travel around the universe?”
Abuto starts sweating cold, choking on the biscuit that he’s eating. Obviously, she won’t reciprocate your love if you act like that, Abuto thinks, pissed at his captain. Who taught you manners?? Ah, yes, him. A perfect mixture of his own poor manners and Kamui's own hard head, with little to no care about others' feelings.
“Ah! You think I would be unprepared, would you?”
Abuto’s ear perks up. What? You had plan B! The blonde man inches closer, trying to look inside the room with the corner of his eye and...
W-Where does all that stuff come from??? Cakes, parfaits, pookie sticks, is that a chocolate fountain???
He pouts; the biscuits that seemed wonderful now look like scraps in front of that marvel. Kamui’s ahoge seems to swing left and right like a dog's tail, his posture is relaxed, and your expression? The same as someone hitting a jackpot.
That vacuum of his captain didn’t even wait for you to grab a fork, using the pookies as skewers, dripping chocolate cake slices into the chocolate fountain in what would make any nutritionist pass out at the sight.
“Are these good?” You ask, standing next to the sitting captain, Abuto can only see your backs, but you both seem at ease.
“Ve-gnry.” Kamui says, mouth still full.
“I also have another gift for you.” You whisper, Abuto is barely able to hear that, he turns around, looking directly at you.
He holds his breath, time passes in slow motion as...you hug Kamui.
“Thanks for letting me travel with you.” Kamui stays still in your arms, probably not even breathing, exactly like his vice, still hiding and still peeking like a biddy.
“No problem. We also needed a doctor.” Kamuis replies, mouth busy again with food. Abuto hopes Kamui isn’t blushing on his cheeks because the neck is already flaming red.
You sigh, happy with his answer as you stand, freeing the captain from your hug.
“Can I also avoid training?”
Kamui turns, his eyes locking on your face and not on the food for once. A chill runs down Abuto’s spine, a scene he saw unfolding million times.
“No way!” The auburn-haired man smiled at you, like he said the most obvious thing in the world, before going back to stuffing his cheeks with sweets.
It seems that sweetening your captain did you no favor...

2.8k words. female reader. R-17. As the old school rating would say: "lime."
"Teach me how to play Street Fighter."
It's not what you expect to hear from a student of Yato High.
Let alone the leader, Kamui, always followed by his two henchmen, like the thug he is.
You nodded at his command, petrified by the scene.
And by his beauty.
You are a simple student from Gintama High, and you surely didn't expect to catch the attention of a boy from Yato High! Let alone Kamui, the leader and most beautiful man (from both schools, you admit to yourself), you have ever looked at.
"See you tomorrow at 10 a.m." He says, back already turned, waving back at you.
"But the arcade is closed-" Breath gets caught in your throat. He turns his head a little, enough to make you see his smile and sparkling blue eyes.
"Don't worry about it." He sings-sang, eyes turning dark, deep, "Just be on time."
And on time, you are the next day. What could have caught his attention? Not your look for sure; at max, he could consider you an NPC walking down his same road.
Your gaming skills? Yeah, you are pretty good, but you've never seen him at the arcade playing. The only eyes searching were yours, always hoping to catch his beautiful face outside the CD shop that stands in front of the arcade.
"So you really came! I thought you'd run away like a rabbit." His voice wakes you up from your train of thought. You nod at him, looking straight into his eyes, hands playing with the hem of your school uniform, not being able to cover your nervousness.
"So, Kamui-san-"
"Just say Kamui." He says, now walking away, signaling you to follow him with his index finger.
"Okay, Kamui. What will we do? The arcade is closed, and my hand-to-hand combat is-"
Click.
"Now it's open."
While you were too busy following him around like a lost sheep, he opened the windows at the side of the arcade, the one that opens on the empty and rarely trafficked road.
"Do you need a hand? Come in!" The copper-haired man chirped, as if he didn't just break into a private place.
"Mh-Mh!" You squeak, "I-I don't think we should break into the arcade. We could go through serious issues if they catch-" You don't get to finish the phrase as two powerful, warm hands and two equally annoyed eyes take you inside.
"I thought you weren't such a mouse if you skipped school to be here-" Ohh, don't remind her of that. She had to summon the courage with her own two trembling hands to meet you - "You can't go back now." His smile reaches his eyes, like he did something completely normal, while you stand there, still trembling, as unsure of your destiny as a leaf in autumn.
"I saw you playing-" This snaps you out of our haze; so he was also looking at you. A warmth mixed with the previous anxiety starts to creep inside your chest. "Do you know a certain Takasugi? I bet you do."
Oh. A chill runs down your spine. Is Kamui really saying he wants you to teach him SF just because-
"I heard he never won against you. What is it? Twenty losses-"
"It's twenty-two. Twenty-two losses for Takasugi." You correct Kamui with a seriousness that doesn't fit the topic, a seriousness that would make any sane person laugh.
And Kamui, too. It's a small but loud one, his cheeriness doesn't reach his eyes as before tho.
"You seem to care a lot about this record. You may have understood then why I'm asking for your help."
You stay near the windows, back now resting against a wall, still unsure about what to do.
"Couldn't you have asked one of your friends? Are you telling me nobody knows how to play it?" You ask, still not believing he honestly picked you, a total stranger, to beat Takasugi.
"Nobody is good, they are just brainless gorillas, but hey, they still wanted to help me out!" And without further ado, Kamui pulls a transparent bag dripping with pennies out of his jacket to play.
"I-Do they...gave it to you spontaneously?" Your voice trembles because you actually know the answer.
He nods and walks to you, grabbing your hand and pushing your body in front of an arcade, as you probably wouldn't have the courage to set a foot inside that place.
"Takasugi and I have an equal amount of wins and losses at hand-to-hand combat-" Even if my losses are due to my men needing a hand. But he bites his tongue, his ego chipped but not so easily broken that he needs to find excuses for his losses.
"I know he plays Street Fighter, and I wanna show him I'm better than him at that too." He keeps smiling like he has the most amazing of ideas.
"Well, if you know Takasugi that well, you should know-" he is dogshit at the game, you wanted to add, but something in that smile tells you to stop.
Kamui chose you and wants you to teach him. He won't back off, even if you come up with the strongest argument.
"Let's start! If this useless chit chat continues, we won't get anywhere!"
It's not useless; you want to snap back, but you understood that it would be, in fact, worthless, like keeping that ugly mug on your face.
You soon find out that if you described Takasugi's skills as dogshit, Kamui would be unclassifiable. You tried, really, you were slow and repeated multiple times the buttons to press to get a combo. But nothing, for someone so good at fighting in real life, he absolutely sucked at videogames.
"Do you wanna play next to me? Maybe if you see me, you'll be able to replicate the moves." And you won't have to spend all the money stol- gifted by your friends.
He nods, mouth shaped in a little 'o' almost as if he was surprised you got an intelligent idea.
"See, Ken is strong, but if you learn his combos, you should be fine-" You mostly look at him, trying to notice and correct all his mistakes.
He is so cute; you notice the tip of his tongue sticking out, and the screen lights reflecting in his baby-blue eyes.
"Press A, B, Left-" Your eyes slide to his fingers, big and rough. Some bandages cover the knuckles, a tale of fights he won, as always, you think. You keep staring at them, noticing how they move around the joystick, so forcefully your mind wanders if his hands have ever treated something gracefully. If they ever treated skin as the finest porcelain, or if they only knew force like a pirate stealing a princess from the golden bars of her kingdom.
You look up, throat dry when the sight makes you jump out of your skin. The lights of the arcade are on Kamui's fair skin, but his eyes are looking straight at you. They are full of mirth, but he doesn't have a sadistic smile. You don't feel safe anyway, because those were the eyes of a predator that was only waiting for the right moment to sink its teeth into the prey's neck.
"Time's up!" The electronic sound comes from the game, breaking the spell that kept your eyes bound.
"My, my. Maybe I should look at you play? C'mon, show me how a true pro does it." He goes behind you, and you know you were completely fucked in that moment. "Pick Super Turbo difficulty. I bet you're gonna win, mh?" He says, throwing the coin bag on the ground, exactly at your feet.
You nod, but your mind has stopped working long ago. Reduced by hopeless mush by a pair of hands. You would be ashamed to death if your "fight or run" instinct didn't scream for you to fight...not physically.
"Pick Ken," Kamui whispers in your ear, making you jump on the spot. "No need to be scared, I'll be right behind you." His voice is warm and deep, in stark contrast to his usual high and cheerful tone.
You nod, but more importantly, you question yourself about how you ended up in this situation. You were more than fine looking at Kamui from afar, never able to live a love story with him. You were more than happy going to school and spending a few hours playing at the arcade, hoping to catch with the corner of your eye a glimpse of him from your seat.
Now you skipped school, trespassed, and your crush has his hands steady on your waist, barely fondling the meat there, sparking a warmth from within that makes your entire body flush and mind short-circuit.
"Why aren't you doing something? The pennies are right here." There is mirth in his voice, and you soon understand why when, after nodding, you lower yourself to grab one. His hold strengthens, keeping you still.
If you want to play, and you must play, you need to bend. You sigh as Kamui's hands slide lower, resting on your hips.
At least, you think in your delirium, he moved back a little, making sure your ass didn't brush against his lap. You can feel his eyes on your bottom, but prefer not to indulge too much in the thought, being as quick as possible.
"Show me the skill of a true pro!" He chirps, his warm hands leaving your body, making you feel nude without them, but it's a feeling that doesn't last much when he takes your hands and puts them on the controls. You have no grip on them, and Kamui takes advantage of it by taking even more control of the situation.
You see his thumb and index playing with the soft, round apex of the joystick, pinching and caressing it with the same roughness he showed you before. In stark contrast, his right hand kept pressing on your finger, making you massage the buttons in circular motions, his rough fingers sliding on yours, forcing you to feel the intensity of his actions.
A fool you are, for getting caught in his trap, your eyes not able to leave the sight of his hands in front of you. Maybe, now that he is barely holding your hands, you'd be able to fight back for a moment, but your body fights back your mind, hypnotized by the sight in front of you, by the image you can only dream is happening to your body.
Your mind is shut when your body arches into his, begging for something more than a hand holding. His name on the tip of your tongue- "Ohhh, I'm not improving much, lemme just look at you." He interrupts your moan, nodding his head towards the screen as the place where you should focus your attention. Your eyes, now liquid pleasure, find it difficult to focus on the arcade. The bright light almost hurts your eyes, so you reflexively turn towards the copper-haired man.
He probably doesn't expect it, as his grip loosens a little, but soon he regains dominance, one hand back on your waist while the other forcefully gripping your hand on the joystick.
"Do you want more?" You nod, eyes begging for mercy. He bites his lower lip, the sight makes you grind on him again, finally noticing that you weren't the only one affected by the situation. "Well, if you want more, you have to win-" You gasp, knowing perfectly that you didn't have the mind to win that level of difficulty at the moment. "Eyes on the screen and hands on the controllers." He sings-sang, basking in your desperation.
You choke a moan, but return to the screen. Ken's life is already reduced by half, and your stupid brain can only think about how much you miss Kamui's warm hands on yours.
He gives you a moment to regain breath, as you go back to the screen, trying to save the situation as best as you can. "I truly like your stockings, Gintama High gives you plenty of permissions to be able to wear those, mh?" His fingers play with the elastic band of one of them before releasing it. The sharp sound of it slapping on your thigh breaks your concentration. His middle and index fingers caress your wounded skin, beneath the stocking, digging into your meat, making you feel the sting rather than the pleasure.
Or a mixture of both.
"And your skirts? I'm surprised your school lets you wear something so short. It would take so little for a prowler to take advantage of you." His hand now rises higher, way past your skirt and way closer to where you desperately need to feel him. His lips are barely a whisper away from your neck, but you keep your eyes fixed on the screen. "But I bet you wouldn't mind it, mh?" It's devious how he dares to say that into your ear.
It's devious how his hand gropes the fat of your thigh, how he makes you feel his strength and his warmth, but never fully rewards you.
"No, only for you-" You say, moving your hips as best as you can to feel a bit more pleasure. "I want to be touched just by you." You gasp, delivering one full combo in-game, internal cheering.
And maybe, finally, you said the right thing, as his hand shoves up your skirt to move to your warm and pathetically wet core.
"You are so wet, aren't you ashamed, miss good girl?" A shiver runs down your spine at the derogatory term. You shake your head, having the courage (or the stupidity) to rebel against his order.
Your noses brush and shorter than a heartbeat, your mouths touch. You see the surprise in Kamui's eyes, you are so close to him you can see his long lashes caressing his reddening cheeks. His nose curls up a little, the bandage always resting there, follows the skin, making him look cuter than usual, if possible.
"Please, Kamui, I need you-" You whisper into his mouth, tongue prodding your lips, like a deserted woman at the sight of a puddle of water.
Maybe you begged well enough, maybe Kamui pitied you, but finally, he gave in. The hand that was previously keeping you still, traveled up, trying to open up the blouse of your uniform, desperate enough to use the little window to your skin to force his way inside the thin cloth to reach your breast.
His name falls from your lips like a chant, your hands leave the controllers to touch his chest, trying to pull out of the way the thin shirt he always wears, so dumbed by the situation you can barely lift it, showing just his pelvic bones and the hint of hairs.
His lips never touch yours, like a boundary he doesn't dare to break, like he didn't break ten others minutes earlier; the hypocrite. Your knees give out, but Kamui's reflexes are faster, turning you around and holding you by the back of your thighs, now pressing your back against the long forgotten game. You moan his name again, "Kamui, Kamui-" and if the blood from his lip-bitten lips and the unceremonious massage to your clothed clit tells you something, he wants this as much as you.
"Time's up!"
You gasp, and not the pleasured kind. A whisper from reaching paradise, and now you find yourself with your butts on the ground, pathetic, wet, and desperate.
"At the end you weren't that good, mh?"
"No, Kamui, wait-" He adjusts his pants, trying to cover his hard-on, but doesn't reach out for you, slumped on the ground.
"You should get on your feet fast; the arcade is going to open soon." Your eyes widen, walking on all fours, his back already turned, but you keep calling for him, voice feeble and hoarse. "See you in two days. You may suck, but you are still better than my friends." He chirps, as if nothing happened just a few moments prior. Kamui stands on profile, arms crossed, ahoge swinging left and right, before looking down on you with the devilish smirk he always sports when he finds a prey he likes. The copper-haired man chuckles one last time, teeth resembling those of beasts rather than men, and just that, he jumped out of the window, soon vanishing between the streets.
If you could, you'd cry, but you are still too astonished by everything that happened even to process a thought properly.

But then the sound of a door opening makes the gears in your brain work faster than ever. You too jumped out of the window, and ran, ran with a strength and a speed you never had. You felt used, abandoned, and most of all, a fucking idiot.
And you don't know how you'll face Kamui in two days, perfectly on time in front of the arcade.
Maybe with a pack of condoms. You laugh to yourself, a punch to the nose is the only gift that suits him.
For now, it's better not to get under the aim of the disciplinary committee, you think as the arcade is now out of your sight.
“Mph" A heavy sigh leaves the vice-commander's lips.
Truly, he finds you fascinating—not like admiring a magnificent animal in its natural habitat, but in the way one can't look away from a car crash.
You are sitting at one of the many windows of the Harusame. But this spot means something different to the pirates of the 7th division; they recognise it is their captain's favorite spot.
Nobody ever dared to correct you. The first time, it was because most of the yatos are sadists and rubbed their hands at the thought of their captain giving a lesson to the newbie human that accidentally got inside their ship. Later, because they all understood, even the ones with fog for brains, that their captain had a delirious crush for you. The kind that makes sure he doesn't kill you on the spot. The kind that doesn't make you train at all because he knows it's not your thing.
Also, because they fear that, if they told you to never sit there, Kamui could go for their head, and they know he wouldn't have pity for any of them, Abuto deduced.
There you sit, hunched over and eating something he recognizes as what should have been your lunch. Abuto clicks his tongue and rubs his tired eyes with a large, calloused hand, watching as you remain oblivious. He can’t decide what looks worse: the rumpled, mismatched clothes you wear or your exhausted expression, dark circles under your eyes betraying your endless studying nights. But at least you are eating something. As a brat to take care of, you are less bothersome than Kamui.
For now.
You look like a scared puppy while eating, even if you know no men in the crew would dare to touch or even hurt you. For being such a pathetic human, you were able to wrap them all around your little fingers.
But then all the hairs in the back of his neck stand straight; danger. Not the normal, natural in his life, kind of danger. The type that can pull out a heart with a single punch-
"You pig!" Ah, his senses are still excellent. The killing intent of brat number one still works on him even when the captain has no intent to end a life prematurely.
Now the scene in front of him looks way more charming, in a twisted way, as Kamui not only ate half of your food in a sec, but is also holding it out of your reach. You are trying to jump a bit, your heights being more or less the same, but his bandaged arm keeps you down and grounded on the floor and on his body.
Abuto clicks his tongue, the sound sharper than a whip. Who is that idiot trying to fool? It truly looks like a mating dance between an idiot who is begging to be noticed, and an equally stupid girl who barely knows the steps of the dance, and for sure can’t understand what is going on with the male in front of her.
And the hand on your lower back? In all the years Abuto has worked with Kamui, seeing him grow from a kid to a man, the word pity never crossed his mind.
Until now.
It's truly pitiful resorting to such childlike behaviour to be able to touch you.
There is a voice, very little and faint, in his mind telling him to help his captain out. It’s the first time he is interested in someone without wanting to fight them to death.
But. Abuto starts to think, the gears in his brain a bit rusty but working, for once, he won’t help his captain out. Years of finding himself in the worst situations, risking his and his men's lives over his captain's bloodlust...and more importantly, his captain never letting any of them enjoy their time with the women of Yoshiwara...he deserves to taste a bit of his own medicine.
“Gimme back my food-” Abuto hears you whine. Voice wet and desperate. The blonde yato doesn’t have the courage to look at Kamui’s face, probably basking in your desperation, ahoge swaying left and right like a dog's tail. “Okay, fine! Eat the little food I have-” Oh, you can be so dramatic when you want. “And thanks, Abuto, for your support! You are there laughing instead of helping me out!” You brush Kamui’s arm off your body, your warmth suddenly leaving the boy when you storm away to get into your room.
A cold shiver runs down Abuto’s spine. Oh, you little bastard. He feels the gelid gaze of Kamui on him.
Abuto was looking at a car crash, but he was actually sitting next to that idiot of his captain, not looking like a spectator.
He doesn’t have the courage to look at Kamui’s face, but there is no need for that. “Abuto.” He hears the man chirp. Bad sign. “If you have so much time to lose-” Damn, you truly fucked him. “Let’s spar, mh?” The baby blue eyes of his captain closed, the smile is full, but he knows better than anybody else that nothing funny will come from this.
Lesson learnt: never get invested into dumb lovebirds affairs
