I have one million headcanons about Rythian and they all conflict with one another

But I think my favorite one that I’ve come up with is as follows:

In Ars Magica, it is possible to accidentally create a human child (do not ask me how. My evidence for this comes from Blackrock, when Zoey announces to Rythian that they have a child and Rythian exclaims, “But I thought we were being careful!” They’re clearly not doing the diddly-do, so there must be another way to accidentally create a child. Hence. Accidental magic-baby. Anyway).

Rythian was one such child, put together by eldritch forces and “born” to parents who neither expected nor wanted him.

They buried him in the backyard while he was still breathing.

Another headcanon comes into play at this point (courtesy of @rebelinks): Enderpearls are actually enderman eggs/seeds, and must be planted in dirt to hatch/sprout. That’s why endermen steal dirt. So endermen have a natural instinct to dig up infants.

Well, and so they did, and Rythian was therefore raised by endermen. At some point (who knows when, probably during teenage-rebellion years), he left enderhome and rejoined human society, where he was essentially brainwashed into believing that endermen are evil.

However, he carries with him some ... relics, from his childhood. He wears the mask because he doesn’t like being looked at directly (something that never happened when he was a child), and the mask makes him feel safe. He doesn’t look directly at other people, either. He has a nervous habit of touching people when he talks to them to make sure they’re still there. He dislikes loud noises and being too far underground.
