I was thinking about nanowrimo when I was walking back from my final today, which got me thinking about writing, and then writing didn’t sound like such a bad thing to be doing right now, so I had to get a chapter in before I lost my motivation. So here it is!
If this is the first time you’ve seen me post something about Kaleya, here’s the first chapter.

Hi everyone! So yeah, I’ve tried really hard to keep up with this novel, but I’ve just kinda been losing interest in it, and honestly it doesn’t seem like anyone else is interested in it anymore either (probably because it’s just going so slowly! Seriously, it feels like I’ll never get out of the introductory chapters). But I’m still going to keep posting chapters, even if it is another 4 months before I post the next one (but probably not because I’ve been kinda excited about the next chapter, so...)

Seriously guys, if I get ANY messages from anyone with comments about what they think of the chapter or the novel so far, even if it’s total hate (well maybe not if it’s TOTAL hate) it’ll make me more motivated to continue working on this... It’s hard to stay motivated when nobody seems interested and I originally started doing this specifically for my followers.

Young Adult Fantasy novel about the world of Kaleya. The evil Queen Freya begins attacking the kingdom of Lordae, and Princess Elisabeth Mantifore must do what she can to prevent all-out war.
Here’s one of the two updated chapters of Kaleya. This is chapter two of the novel, so you may want to read the first chapter if you haven’t already. Also, I updated Ch. 8 so you can find that one here as well.
So I’m working on editing some of my chapters of Kaleya (namely the most recent Elisabeth chapter and the only (how have I only had one Kara chapter?) Kara chapter) to more fully explain things so that it’s not all in my head and makes sense for the readers. The Kara chapter is going to go a little more in depth about the history of Kaleya and Wyburn, and the Elisabeth chapter is going a little more in depth about the Raider base... I really should go through all the chapters and provide more details, but I think I’m going to stick with these two for now and go back later to see what I can add. Also, I’m hoping to write the next chapter tonight, so if anyone’s still interested in my novel you can look for that later! (message me if you want me to tag you in the post for the new chapter... I don’t expect anyone to want to be tagged, but who knows? maybe someone’s actually interested in an original story for once)
