Disclaimer: Yes, some people date new people and everything works out fine, however that isn’t the common case and it has never worked for me nor any of my friends. Anyway, most of my tips are going to tie in with each other and weave a happy little blanket, so here goes tip tie in time. (If you haven’t seen my first tip you might wanna go read it.. maybe.) As mentioned in the last tip don’t be afraid to tell people you like them, but please do not go up to someone that you’ve only admired from afar and tell them that you like them. What if they’re rapists? We don’t want that. Thinking someone is attractive and actually liking them enough to want to date is totally different and should not be conjoined. You don’t know the person. And just the occasional side conversation probably isn’t going to cut it. If you see someone you think is cute or whatever, find a way to get to know them and have them become your friend. If it is too scary to straight up approach them then try and figure out a club they’re in or some friends of theirs that you might be friends with too. If you date someone you just met than chances are you’ll end up having to awkwardly ask each other stuff they like after you two are dating, and may even see that you barely have anything in common with them. Super awkward. So please, try and meet them and befriend them in some way, that way you’ll know who they are and they’ll know who you are. Stay classy tumblr.
